"I made an online order at 1154, received and email that the food would be ready “around” 1215. Food actually ready for pickup at their location at 12:28. I must give grace given that it was a bit busy, however, it would have been helpful if a staff member provided some information like an update on if they’re making the food, or if it would have a few more minutes. I was just kind of left guessing. It would be helpful if there were seating available for customers waiting for their food to be ready since it appears that the “around” time really means ten minutes or so after the time we are provided."

"I have eaten at many of the BBQ places in the area. First time at Big Shanty. I was pleased. Super friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Great sauce. The meats were good, not too dry, had bark and had some smoke flavor, but I prefer a a flavor whenyou just know it was smoked for hours. Rating: 4.5."
