"The menu seemed promising and the view very interesting on St-Paul Street directly in Old Montreal. First of all, the white tablecloths are stained. We order a bottle of wine. The waiter brings us the wrong bottle and doesn't understand that we are telling him it's not what we ordered ... it's a Merlot he tells us. Yes but it is not that one! He returns, consults 3 other people and ends up coming back with the maid. It begins badly. As a starter, a garden salad and an onion soup. Nothing special. The deer is served with the wrong sauce besides having the wrong cooking (I asked for rare and I got medium). Mons husband ordered the trio of game and one piece had such a strong sauce that he couldn't eat the piece of meat. We were offered something else to do ... but we were no longer hungry. A dessert to compensate ... no thank you! We're going back ... NO!"

"My husband often goes there for business lunches and loves it, so I reserved it for his 40th Birthday supper. We were on the terrace with only 2 other tables of 2-3 people and no one in restaurant when we came in. Therefor crowds were not an issue. We were a group of 10 people. Overall None of us were happy. Service. We were all served at different times for every service. People were finished there appetizers before others were even served. Same for the dessert. It was incredibly slow throughout the whole meal. I had asked to pull down the shade repeatedly as the sun was directly in my eyes and I couldn't even see my food. Finally someone closed it but 5 minutes it was open again. We asked for the bill repeatedly and after 30 min said we'd leave if they didn't give immediately. There was 2 waiters standing at the bar and only two tables of two at this point. Food. Honestly no one was impressed. Anchovies were forgotten on one cessation salad and bacon on the other, even though they asked what we wanted on it. My husbands' filet mignon had fat and was way undercooked as he ordered well done. Mine was cooked for a med-well (as far as I could tell because I couldn't see the meat) but the ends were burnt. My children had fries which they didn't like nor eat, one who loves meat and shrimps wouldn't eat anything. Another's guests' fish was very dry. No one finished all their meal. Dessert. Really horrible. My husband had his birthday cake put in front of him without a word while one of the guests wasn't even at the table. He had time to take his time and finish before anyone else were served. The lava in the lava cake which takes 10 minutes to cook came after 20 minutes and was completely dry! Then the coffee finally came when everyone was finished dessert. I couldn't even drink my cafe latte as I was having severe stomach pains. Later that night a friend of ours had them too. Maybe the Montecarlo potato as it was the only thing we at together in common. Worst supper I have ever had!"
