"Fresh Vegetable Plate Welcome Relief After Weekend of Overindulgence. My stomach thanks me for the 'Fresh from the Montgomery Curb Market Vegetable Plate with meatloaf and Creole Sauce I provided today at Shashy 's. A little pricey at $11.50, the quantities were ample and the cornbread (my specialty) was served warm and with a pat of REAL BUTTER!!! [So sick of 'Promise ' spread other places use. The only think it Promises is to make me gag] Noticed they also serve breakfast now and the menu looks really good as do the bakery items in the display cases up front where you pay. Highly recommend this place for lunch."

"I used to eat here when I worked at the Publix in the next plaza, I remember it being very good. I remember it being busy and the workers were very friendly and accommodating, so when my cousin came in town I wanted to share that experience. When I came here a couple years ago I would have gave it five stars but this visit was much different. When we initially walked in, there was not a soul in sight. If the door wasn 't open I would have thought they were closed. We waited a good 5 minutes before somebody came out front. The lady that came out front was all sweaty and out of breath rushing around didn 't even say hi. When we finally gave her our order she rushed us through it and I had a bag of three subs before I could say anything. I said I 'm sorry are these sandwiches made to order because my husband wanted to add some extra condiments? she replied yes . She did graciously take it back and redo it lickety split, so I 'm not complaining about that. It 's just the overall lack of customer interaction, lack of wanting to give the customer the best possible experience, and the overall visit left me not wanting to return. I don 't know how the sub was so I can 't rate it because I didn 't get what I wanted. I asked my husband to rate his sub from a 1 to 10 one being the lowest 10 being the highest.... He said -2. Really unfortunate because I remember this place being very good."
