"That was really delicious! the personal knew what was vegetarian and helped us to order. we set the tofu with herbal tempura for two people and it was a lot of food! they brought us a vegetarian soy sauce and were really clear about it. it was nice to taste an authentic Japanese food! the situation is really good and although we had a short waiting time, many people sit!"

"Loved this cute restaurant. It's very cozy and the food is fantastic (and freshly made! . That, paired with the whole atmosphere made us come back even though we only stayed a couple of days in Kyoto. The owners are so so friendly as well. I'm not vegetarian or vegan but still very much enjoyed the food."

"We sort of stumbled upon Kisaki as we were wandering the philosophers path. My parents both lived in Japan for over five years, but that was almost thirty years ago now. Kisaki was the authentic, traditional restaurant we had been looking for. We were warmly welcomed, and ended up being the only guests that night. The two waitresses/hostesses fomented on my sloth themed Christmas sweater and walked us through the proper way to eat the meal. This is a shoes off, sit on a tatami restaurant, so bring your nice socks. The food was excellent, and not too expensive. Between 2100 and 2800 yen a head. If you are in the neighborhood, I can not recommend the experience enough!"
