"Be prepared to wait if in a big group as it's quite small. Once inside, welcome to Korean dumpling heaven. The seafood noodle soup is also very satisfying for noodle fans. Although good by itself, a spicy sauce wouldn't hurt would it?"

"My husband worked in Malaysia for four years and often gets a craving for real Malaysian street food. We hadn't been able to find any good Malaysian eateries in the inner west of Sydney - until today. Ho Jiak is the real deal! The food is magnificent! Three of us shared the Hiananese Boneless Chicken Rice (which came with a delicious clear soup), Penang Fried Koay Teow with chicken, and Roti Canai with beef curry. Every dish was sensational. With iced teh tarik and iced lemon tea on the side, the meal was complete. And the entire cost was under $50.Located in Strathfield Plaza, the restaurant itself is very small, but there is overflow seating out in the mall thoroughfare. Not the greatest eating environment - but the outstanding food more than makes up for it. The staff are delightful and the service is quick. And there is three hours of free parking at this shopping centre.Highly recommended. We will definitely be back!!"

"Bought avocado roll and salmon in black rice roll. Each comes individually wrapped in plastic for convenient eating, soya sauce and wasabipaste packet.Rolls are tasty and seaweed has a nice coloring and texture.Nice selection of other rolls and other products but no eel Product Service Ambience (they have tables) Packaging (individual wrapped rolls handy and near logo on paper bag shows they make an effort)"

"This place has good food – a lot of it! It took about half an hour to be served, so we were well and truly hungry by the time dinner was served. A good place to eat if you’re with 4+ people – you can order a few big dishes and share them. The typical Korean sides thrown in for free were delicious! Staff are friendly, and were more than happy to provide takeaway containers for what we didn’t finish. I think we over ordered! Price turned out to be an average of $25 per person which I think is reasonable. I would definitely come back here for the Spicy Chicken Hot Pot, Bi Bim Bap, and of course the yummy sides. Advantage: it’s not a Korean BBQ restaurant so you won’t walk out stinking of oil and fried meat – WIN!"

"We read a lot of good reviews of this Korean BBQ so we decided to try. We booked a table for 5 for our family with three big kids prior to visit. We arrived on time and mentioned we had a booking at 5:30. The waiter didn't pay attention and took us to sit in a 4-seats table. It's still ok as my youngest son was quite skinny and we thought they could only offer that table. The beef was marinated in very general soy sauce, not really rich-Korean favour, which I think Korean restaurants in Chatswood do way better. They then finally realized we were the family had booking and apologized for making us sit in a small table. Half waiters didn't understand English that's a problem for communication. They were generally friendly. Never go back again though."
