"There are two Sendok Garpu Indonesian restaurants and we went to the Indooroopilly one recently.I had previously been there and had heard it wasn't as good but we didn't find this the case.We arrived just after 6.30pm on a Saturday night before it got too busy so service was fairly efficient. It was also very friendly.We started by sharing vegetable and corn fritters with peanut sauce which was enjoyed by us all. Three out of four enjoyed our main meal choices. We enjoyed vegetarian nasi goreng ($14), Sayur Kapau a vegetarian curry ($13), and Tongseng Ayam a chicken curry ($19). The only meal that was a disappointment was the Gulai Kambing Aceh ($23), a special lamb curry which was very oily and with no vegetables. Rice has to be ordered separately.A warning about the spiciness - even mild is fairly spicy. You can also ask for medium spice. On the menu, the options are only mild and spicy.The restaurant is BYO. My daughter had the warm water with lime - nice but a bit pricey at $5.We would return."
