"From 5 stars to only 1 star, and if I can give zero stars, I would've because that was how horrible our last dinner experience was. Came in on a Saturday evening (8/12) and we chose to be seated at the bar instead one of the tables by the river (maybe this was our wrong decision lol since we usually sit at the tables and not the bar). We were given menus as we were seated, and server named Alex I believe came and asked for our drinks, and when he dropped off the drinks he asked what did we want to order but usually they tell us the specials of the day but he didn't so I had to ask and when I asked he only listed the main ingredient of the dish ie the type of fish/steak of the day and none of the other sides that accommodated the dish nor the price. So we asked for a few more minutes and then we finally ordered. We decided with the the wild mushroom and sirloin stroganoff, bowl of tomato bisque, and Mary's Chicken. And this is where everything started going downhill, food took forever because all the tables that ordered after us got their food before us and we were never given bread nor did our server approach us to give us a status, and when he finally did he didn't apologize for the delay he just said oh let me check on your food, it should be out shortly but how when we ordered before the table next to us and they already received all three of their entrees but here we were still waiting. Soup came out first but that took like 20min and the tables next to us were already eating their entree and they ordered after us! We decided to share the bowl of soup, so we asked the food runner for a extra bowl set and she came back with a bowl only and no extra spoon, so we had to wait another like 10min to get their attention just for a extra spoon. Then another 20+ min later our entrees finally came out but guess what!? We were never given utensils, so we asked the food runner and she goes oh and laughs you guys don't have utensils and I'm like yeah. At this point our food was getting cold because she took forever with the settings, and that was because she decided to wait on an item that was missing for the table next to us and then bring out the utensil settings and missing item all at once which I did not understand at all. When we finally were able to eat our food it was warm cold at that point due to all the waiting and honestly it could've been better. My chicken most of it was cooked but the thigh part may have came a little under, fingerling potatoes were overcooked and bit dry, the veggies that came with it doesn't really compliment the chicken in my opinion as it was sauteed chard and frisee. The pasta could've been better as it was more vinegar tasting this time. Food was par not the best and could've been way better as we had it in the past and it was good then. As a previous long time waitress/server/food runner/ restaurant manager this was truly unacceptable for the price we were paying and the service was just straight out bad, and it's not even about the price but more so the service, if you can't take on that many tables and or unwilling to serve an individual let another server do it, don't waste your customers money, time, and mood. We barely got checked on regarding our food, so even if I wanted to complain that my chicken didn't seem all the way cook or that there was no fresh black pepper for the pasta I couldn't even do that. The bar servers had time to laugh and chat but not check on guests lol which is a joke of an establishment because why pay this price to be treated like I'm at McDonald's. And when we finished eating he didn't even ask if we wanted dessert or offered the dessert menu and so we just asked for the check and even that took another 15min because he wanted to run food orders and check on his tables first. I have been sat at bar seatings in similar American restaurants and have never received service that was so different than their table settings because had I known I would've sat at the tables instead or unless it was because we were a minority race as I noticed he was friendlier with his other tables but not us, never got asked if I wanted a drink refill nor anything of that sort. Management really needs to step up because this is unacceptable service and they need to check in with customers because clearly their staff can't do it or is unwilling to. Instead of me saying yes you should dine here, now I will be saying you should take your money else where as this is not the place to be spending your money and time. We wanted to walk out on our dinner because it was that bad, food was meh probably because it was cold due to all the waiting and service...what service, don't think I received any."
