"We've eaten here a few times and it's always been great. Unfortunately the staff and the food were extremely poor. Bruschette used to be made with pizza dough, now it's just 3 pieces of bread. The pizzas and pasta weren't particularly good either. The pizza wasn't really crispy and wasn't baked enough. The waitress didn't really speak German and almost didn't understand us! When we asked why there was no longer any pizza dough for the bruschette, we were told we had to request it separately. However, this is not noted on the menu, so perhaps that should be added."

"One word: Wow! You run through the picturesque village Bad Säckingen and look for the pleasure pharmacy. A bit hidden, in an inconspicuous commercial building, in fact in a former pharmacy, the pleasure team has created a place of a beautiful and cozy pub. When you open the door, you are suddenly in another ambience! Art on the walls, in style and design, in the kitchen as in the palate. Throughout the evening the rest falls on the team in the service as in the kitchen no hectic, no stress, easy time and tranquility. The team is very experienced and perfectly transports the ambience. You serve spice and potion with wine pairing and know perfectly what you are talking about from your own experience. I have never been able to enjoy 13 courses of highest culinary delights with 9 different wines (small portion, which were in perfect harmony and all of them also corresponded to my taste, no wild experiments, much local knowledge, much experience that makes the magic of this enjoyment pharmacy. At this point I would have to forgive 6* or in Gault Milau 18 (the place has 16! . Our expectations were far exceeded, a great thank you to the entire team for this culinary journey simply by A Z!"

"We were here for the first time today and were absolutely happy. The food was really good.. Operators were attentive, funny and very pleasant. Our three-year-old son also felt very comfortable and enjoyed the food. Although we have to drive a good piece, we definitely come back!"

"Wir waren während unseres Urlaubs 2x hier essen und jedesmal zufrieden. Das Essen war frisch und ansprechend angerichtet. Da wir draußen saßen, können wir über das Innere nichts berichten. Einziger Wermutstropfen - auf Grund der starken Frequentierung (was für sich spricht) mussten wir mitunter etwas warten. Aber egal - wir hatten ja Urlaub . . ."

"Der schwarze Walfisch wurde mir von einem Freund empfohlen. Es ist eine wirklich gemütliche Wirtschaft, viel uriges, rustikales Holz, nicht zu beengt und mit großem Außenbereich. Es ist ziemlich gut besucht gewesen aber wir hatten Glück und haben einen Tisch direkt am Fenster bekommen. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Bestellung wurde schnell gebracht und was soll ich sagen... es war saulecker... wie wir im badischen sagen :-) Ich hatte Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat, mein Kumpel hatte nen Fitness-Salat mit Schnitzel... die Schnitzel waren super zart und wir haben es kaum geschafft, die Teller zu leeren. Alles in allem, absolut empfehlenswert. Ich werde wieder dort essen gehen, dann die Spareribs, die ich am Nachbartisch gesehen habe. Preislich war alles im dunkelgrünen Bereich, das muss man beim Preisgefüge hier an der schweizer Grenze echt lobend erwähnen."
