"We are from the USA and travel a lot to Mexico. This is the most authentic Mexican food I’ve eaten in Spain so far. The food was excellent. Had the chicken enchiladas with red and green sauce with refried beans and my wife had the tortilla soup (Sopa Azteca) which she says is the best she ever had. We also got a plate of guacamole and chips. We actually ran out of chips before guacamole, they gave us so much! That never happens in the states. The tomatillo sauce was good and tangy and we also had a yellow salsa made from árbol chiles, which was plenty hot. Only thing lacking was a bottle of tapatío sauce, but how can I complain. We are in Spain, home of bland food."

"This restaurant is slightly off the main touristy streets and we found it whilst walking around looking for somewhere to eat. There is a lot of choice in this area for restaurants and I'm really glad we discovered The Balmes. The food was amazing, best tapas we had during our stay, and for the best price! The cocktails are also great, we had a Blue Arrow, which was lovely, and again reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and provided a great service, we left our most generous tip here despite is being of our cheapest meals!! Highly recommend"

"Although I am reluctant to the restaurants located near the sacred family, I made an exception and decided to prove this whose Arab gastronomy did not disappoint me. Now to start, nothing more, there was an Arab dance show in the middle of the hallway. the letter is varied, good place for vegans/vegetarians. I ordered a plate, the lamb was very good, the rest of the season was also worth it. At first it cost a little to be treated, but then the service was very cordial. affordable prices."
