"Take away fantastically, best for miles. We'll travel 15 miles to get out of here. Fried rice is amazing, white and fluffy, none of these brown dry things you often get in Chinese takeaways. The spring roll is great."

"Have been waiting to try a visit here but our first attempt was weather related. We managed to get in Saturday June and were seated in the beer garden which with the Sun shining was extremely pleasant. After a lovely cold pint we ordered...the recommended garlic mushrooms and also prawn cocktail. Both were fresh plentiful and so reasonably priced. The sauce the mushrooms were in was delicious and made you want to eat it like soup with a spoon. We then chose our mains which was a lovely presented seafood linguine which was packed with prawns, mussels and squid in a rich creamy sauce with pasta cooked to perfection. A home made lasagne was thick, meaty and full of flavour accompanied by home made chips made for another lovely main course. We shall definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Service was quick and polite and made the evening ejoyable"

"Excellent curries, there were 4 of us and we tried biryani, jalfrezi, rogan and a house special achari bahar- all were very tasty. Service was efficient but not too quick. Will definitely return. Stand out curries we’re the achatri and jalfrezi. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"As always simply stunning the Smoked Haddock Risotto was as sheer delight and the Pheasant Breast was totally wonderful. My favourite gastro pub and the service, food and whole experience next fails to deliver. Simply wonderful couldn’t ask for more."

"This is a hidden gem in the middle of Worksop. From when you walk through the arched walkway you feel like your in Italy. We visited as family for a birthday and all the meals were lovely. Recommend the lasagne. Well worth the money and would recommend a visit."

"Been here a few times in the evening but today was the first time we’d been for Sunday lunch. Wow! The complimentary pizza slices with bolognese whilst we were waiting was just great. The breaded shrimp and the bruschetta, just divine; especially the broccoli and lemon sauce accompanying the shrimp. The lasagne that followed was sublime but the roast pork, Italian style......what a triumph! Served in a huge bowl, tender slices of pork with rosemary on a bed of courgette, carrot and onion, five proper roast spuds; all in a rich meaty gravy with lashings of olive oil. I don’t like spinach and am not keen on broccoli, but we agreed that the spinach and broccoli cannelloni was the dish of the day. Rich but light with lots of Parmesan and tomato to supplement the beautiful cannelloni filling. Dessert? Not a chance after that lot! The Montepulciano Abbruzo went down well again, with the log fires keeping us warm, toasty and nicely relaxed. What a place this is! Great food cooked by Maurice, fabulous service from Sam and Sara and great craic from the locals. We will be back; again and again, no doubt."
