"The restaurant is on a steep rampart and there is a nice view to Calheta and the sea. Interior is clean and service very polite and and restrained. We ordered mixed grilled fish and seafood for two persons. The portion insisted also bread with garlic, vegetables and a huge amount boiled potatoes. There were three different species of fish (espada, dorado, bass), mussels, squids and big shrimps. The portion was pretentios and so large that we did'nt eat potatoes at all. Fish was quite good but not as excellent as the price had presumed. Warm bread was good and vegetables (green beans, carrots and broccoli) were fresh and tasty."

"Good and bad: great prospects menu is very limited toast etc. free wifi much sitting area good background music right in front of the beach meters away, although...it is called a bar restaurant I would definitely not call it a restaurant on the basis of the small menu showed a cafeteria plus maybe, but would not disturb to come here for a meal"

"The restaurant is easily accessible by car or tour bus. The ideal place to relax and take in the views to Curral das Freiras. The staff are friendly and the food is a good quality. The shop is also full of all types of souvenirs."

"Staying as an all inclusive guest in the Savoy Calheta we ventured into its affiliated hotel a bit further down the beach and described that the menu and setting looked like a place to spend a last family meal in Madeira. (If you are staying in the Savoy Calheta speak with reception to receive a per person discount on a reservation The experience started from arrival at our table (far too early as normal where the waiters were accommodating and treated us as though we had been staying and eating with them for the entire holiday. Attentive service from start to finish with full fine dining experience for the price of a good Indian restaurant in the UK and amazing quality from start to finish. The biggest critics are always children and our 12 year olds eyes lit up like Christmas on trying his first tiger prawn as a starter (they hung over both sides of the plate! thinking this wouldn’t and couldn’t be surpassed we were staggered when given a choice between the tiger prawns and veal which he had chosen for his his main (the veal had another tiger prawn included! he said without a moments hesitation that he would have go for the veal as his favourite, 2 hours as a family meal enjoying amazing food and talking without a single moments though about technology made for an amazing end to a great holiday."
