"Went for New Year's Eve and they had a special NYE menu with a choice of about five selections. All included soup or salad, the entree, and dessert. It was our first visit there. Although the meal was very good.....we were hoping for a choice off their regular menu.....will try another time."

"This ice creamery and restaurant has existed since 1978, but the atmosphere and the restaurant serve outstanding burgers, fries, ice cream, sundaes, and some old fashioned housemade chocolates, and candies. You will still get the old fashioned, carefree, and happy place vibes here. Great with children, and adults alike. 2 birthday parties happened last night and a few more customers enjoyed their sundaes and had an ice cream social. The dining area, ice cream counter, kitchen, and candy making area are so 70s. It is clean and organized and feels very welcome with both children and adults. The ambiance is 6/5! It feels like it was 50 years ago.We had some dessert and ate some of their popular sundaes like the Black and Tan (one of the best in the SF Bay Area), and the Junior Banana Split. Most of their flavors are coffee and chocolate forward flavors, there's the original trinity of flavors vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. They also serve No Sugar Added chocolate and vanilla. They also have granita which is strawberry lemonade or lemonade. Sorbets are rainbow, orange, and lime. I think they serve over 25 flavors at one time. So they are so much to choose from.Black and tan sundae which has toasted almond and vanilla ice cream layered with caramel and hot fudge sauce with whipped cream, toasted chopped almonds, and a cherry on top. This is a nutty well balanced sundae, and everything complements well. Ice cream is hard ice cream that isn't too sweet like Bruster's or Dreyer's. You can have a chew but it's not cold but hard. Toasted almond had toasted almond flavor with slight brown sugar, chewy and on the nutty side because of how they included a lot of toasted chopped almonds in the ice cream. It is so good! Then the vanilla goes well with the hot fudge which had some dark chocolate and cocoa powder that pushed you on tasting more chocolate flavor. Hot fudge was great. The caramel is on the slightly sweet side. Everything mixed and eaten was excellent. I have fun eating this and can enjoy eating it because the flavors and textures were good. 6/5!My brother was craving a banana split and chose his flavors like coffee, mint choco chip, and toasted almond ice cream served with pineapple sauce, hot fudge and strawberry sauce, whipped cream, chopped almonds, the cherry on top, and sliced bananas on the bottom. We shared this junior banana split and it was huge still. I would say 2 to 3 people can share this split.Coffee has a strong coffee flavor, is chewy, and creamy, and is so good! 5/5!Toasted almond see the previous comment on it. Highly recommend this flavor! 6/5! This flavor has a toasted almond, slight espresso flavor, and brown sugar in it. Then a lot of chopped almonds in it. A lot of chewing to do but you can taste toasted almond flavors with the nuts. One of my favorite flavors. Addictive! 6/5!Mint chocolate chip tasted like vanilla spearmint like toothpaste or mouthwash. It was yucky! 1/5! We left it because it wasn't that good!. The ice cream was one of the horrible flavors. They should lessen the flavoring and is ok to have a very pale green color. Also, they should have added more mini choco chips to it.The banana split is also a great sundae when shared with multiple people. Pineapple sauce is good too with the bananas and the ice cream. But the junior banana split is huge and can be shared with 2 to 3 people. My mom had a huge scoop of butter pecan which is sweet cream filled with buttery, glazed pecans. So good and she is enjoying every bite of it. So good! 5/5!The menu is excellent here and all are very good! Even the experience is great here too so welcoming, wholesome, and very carefree. They serve chocolates, candy, gummies, caramel apples, ice cream, sandwiches and burgers, fries too, malts, shakes, and ice cream floats. Everything is still excellent here as the way it should be. Coming back here! The eldest and youngest daughters are owners of this old fashioned ice cream parlor and candy store. They serve burgers, sandwiches, and fries. So enjoy while you are here!"

"I enjoyed my Ramen choice Black Garlic) and a seaweed salad). I also ordered the Chicken Rice) to share with the family that was yummy. Kiddos loved it!! Although the chicken Karaage) was super dry, the chicken was hard to eat, and it was overcooked, they didnt add dipping sauce either; My dogs thought they were treats. So nothing went to waste..They take long to fill the order even when you stop in but the staff is super friendly, and the place is clean, so it makes up for the delay."

"Their BBQ is the bomb, does not matter it is the duck, pork or chicken. Their food is on par to Chinatown. Glad we have one in CV!"

"First timer here for dinner, although I lived in CV for almost 20 years. I was with Sushi and Kyoemi. No hole in the wall in the Luckys Mall area, next to Genghix. Food was mainly Spider Roll / Soft Shell Crab. Had a few pieces of sashimi, although I could not choose what I wanted to be six exact all ahi tuna/maguro . Most sushi houses will not become more than a selection of sashimi, so I tagged for this. Chicken terryaki was good. You even get a dessert when you order the combo. Service was good. Special cudos made by the iced tea. It was fresh and not soft drinks. One of the best iced teas I ever had. Prices are acceptable where it should be. Whatever I didn't like, it was warm today and they didn't run the A/C. What made it warm in the restaurant, almost uncomfortable. When I asked, waitress said that they usually don't really run it on most days? It influenced my comfort, safe. Overall excellent food / good prices / good service. But you know, this is a very relaxed atmosphere no dress here. Shorts and tanktops OK. Alcohol is expensive, but it is most places. It has a sushi bar, but you need to spend at least $10 there?"
