"The restaurant had a good, but limited menu. There was soup, salad, and a choice of set menus. For those with a smaller appetite, there were chicken, tuna and egg salad sandwiches. The setting on the water is beautiful. As this place is open during the tourist season, it is best to check availability before visiting. The staff were friendly, the food was good.The hotel, away from it all, between Kingston and Ottawa has been around since 1877 and is a world heritage site. It is a refuge for those with a desire to return to nature and check out some of the locks on the Rideau Canal."

"You really need to go try their handmade pastries. These are excellent. We also had a very nice egg salad breakfast. They have some unusual groceries for various countries in Europe. This place brings Elgin a step up on the ladder! Try it!!!!"

"This well presented caffeine is a little hidden when they visit elgin and wander the main roads, but it is good to find. it is quite, but without tweet, clean and sharp, but not clinical. we found the personal warm and friendly, attentive and friendly. we had both hot and cold food on our order. both came fast and were well presented. the quality of the ingredients was clear and we were both satisfied with the amount and taste of our meals. the drinks in which so many caffeine failed were great: the tee was good, the hot chocolate neither too sweet nor too watery. well made the ditsy on not razing to save pennies and make sure that the customer a good quality experience at a fair price. we have enjoyed our visit in any case and will be appreciated and returned."

"I've been to Granar many times, the stars could be dressed and you'll get a great meal, but most of the time it's not the case. Earlier I asked for her vegetarian breakfast to be veganized and they would give me everything in veggie breakfast less the egg I thought was great! Then one day I asked him and said that the veggie sausages always contain cheese. I ate beans for breakfast from there. Lunch and dinner wise, you could get more luck when you come on a day when there is a special like Sunday roast or fish Friday (they have used to do a banana blossom fish n' chips). However, we ordered their vegan Sunday roasts on the other day and took age, then both plates came with a generous support of cauliflower cheese, which was very obviously not vegan. I asked for my to be made new (my partner is not vegan so ate his), when I got it, he had finished his meal. Image is attached to what I got; they simply replaced the flower cheese with an extra few pieces of Broccoli and loaded the same. Soup is sometimes vegan, but it always gets with butter on the side."
