"I had been up to Niederbauen a few times, but never spent the night. Changed that during a Switzerland trip with friends from HK and stayed the last night before our departure. I love this place as it is way less touristy than other mountains...around Lake Lucerne and provides some of the best views and an authentic Swiss experience. The cable car holds 8 people so comfortable ride up for the 6 of us. We had rooms on the 1st floor with shared bathrooms. The bathrooms are spotless and have everything you need, from hair dryer to plenty of towels, so no issues. Rooms are super cute with amazing views over the lake. Only sounds you hear at night are the cow bells. After a rainy afternoon hike (with a rainbow though! , we had a great dinner. Food is excellent and service to match good recommendations (and in great English . We had the pork fillet and ravioli, both very well done, dessert was excellent too. And they threw in another rainbow for us, right outside the door; Breakfast same excellent quality, bread still warm from the oven. We spent the morning hiking up to Niederbauen Chulm, awesome experience for my Asian friends, lots of cows and on the way down a group of Ibex great end to our Switzerland trip!!"
