"First time here but will probably be last. We ordered two courses but had to wait maybe 20 mins or so till waitress came to say sory for the wait but ours would be out in a couple of mins.we were sharing Pakora to start but qhen food came out it was our mains. Steak pie and mac n cheese. While steak pie was lovely partner did say there was more gravy than anything. My mac n cheese was ok. Didnt taste particularly home made! When i said we had ordered a starter girl apologised asked if we wanted them to take food away and bring out starter we both said no. So she took it off bil as well as removing drinks. We then ordered dessert i couldnt get what i asked for (it had been removed from menu) waitress wasnt aware of this! My dessert was a Salted caramel choc brownie all cold but served on a roasting hot plate! Other dessert was sticky toffee pudding with custard. Sticky toffee was cold and they served it with ice cream again on a hot plate! So given that it wasnt overly busy and the amount of mistakes i think we will be giving it a miss in future. We did appreciste them not charging for our drinks but it still left a bad taste as it wasnt a difficult order to get right."

"This was by far the best Chineese around for about 15yr ish but the past six years ish it’s became hit or a miss. I think they must have two chefs one good and one not so good. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes it’s inedible. Sometimes the fried rice has spring onions and sometimes did doesn’t. Sometimes the lemon chicken is lovely and sometimes it’s dried up and horrible. I’ve heard a few people that have the two chef theory and I suggest they work which one isn’t up to scratch and get rid of them before they loose business. I am not sure how basic things are not consistent in the same restaurant. Such a shame as you were constantly brilliant!"

"Birthday celebrations and the staff were fab handed in some decor earlier in the day and arrived to see they had made a fab effort in putting it up. Table for 15 we were all promptly dealt with taking food and drink orders and kept it coming. The food was so delicious everyone one agreed best Chinese food tasted. Some lovely wines on offer too. Regularly use for take away too Can’t praise highly enough brilliant."

"Absolutely fantastic the quality of food was excellent and reasonably priced. Lovely spacious tearoom. Service was also first class. Had soup and sandwiches it was just a delight to have lunch."

"What has happened ? we used to eat in the restaurant at least once a week for years, food was always good service was exceptional even when busy so much so I always left a tip,due to circumstances we have not been for at least 3 months, today 11.10.23 we went in for dinner at 4.30pm, it wasn't busy tables were needing cleaned we sat for 15 minutes waiting to have our orders taken, all the time the staff were at the counter talking with each other, we walked out in passing the counter I informed the lad the service was terrible, unfortunately we were hungry so you still got our business this time as a takeaway, but for future remember there are 2 chip shops in Lanark,not impressed if this is the level of customer service the restaurant now gives."
