"My wife and I can recommend it to anyone who is once in a bit bit delicious, homemade food, this is what to do here.The service is quick and you will be super advised.(for example if you want to eat vegan); here the chef is still working himself and that you feel, everything is done with love and easy to put in. "The restaurant is located directly on Market Square. It is a historical building very cozy inside and also outside. There is a street terrace and behind the house an yard. The food was local and thus very tasty, with a selection of light and regular...meals. Chicken breast with bacon was juicy and the pork knee crunchy as it should be. The waitresses was very nice and recommended to us a wine which nicely went with the meal. Next time, when we are in Meissen we'll vist Vinzenz Richter again."

"Had been eating with my friend and well-known in the forest-closed bite for Sunday brunch. the food was very tasty, there is something for everyone taste. "During our tour we came here. In beautiful weather we could sit outside and observe the events in the square. The food was very tasty and plentiful. In the end we talked to a very nice employee and got some tips for the next Greece holiday. An ouzo from the house, of course, was not missing before and after. A round thing."

"This is a beautiful small café on the “Balkon” of Meissen, in the shade of the cathedral. The tables on the terrace overlook the whole valley and offer a wonderful place to take the landscape. The menu concentrates on cakes and light dishes, all quite delicious. Service is absolutely charming."

"General: Another professional appointment in winter Meissen. After the mauen Brauhausspeisung in the Schwerter Schankhaus two weeks ago, I continued my well-known field research “Greece in Germany”. My destination Greek will probably continue a historical guest house name and only in the subtitle it is called “Golden Ring – Greek Restaurant”. At first glance, I could not recognize a phenotype brand Greek in the service brigade, which would be amazing. Later, I then shared this impression with my operator and she pointed out to a shaved bald head as her Greek cucumber and in the kitchen are also Greeks at work. My curiosity let her win the baldhead. As the host Georgios Ziko told me, he has been running the restaurant in the Meißen old town for 20 years. And for a cold, smooth winter evening on a Tuesday, the restaurant was certainly three-quarters occupied with families and small groups. All indigenous people; I guess the tour factor was just me. Nevertheless, “the host complained about the not optimal utilisation, which he put on the weather. Even eating at the expense of gastronomy, as the host continues, I could not understand, because younger semesters prevailed at the tables. So a high-level “cold”. Common companions were peperoni, olives, tomato and salad cucumbers. Everything on the plate tasted me and was a high average. For the Hall of Fame of the Mezedes, however, it was not enough for any of the test subjects. The combination of beef liver, lamb chop and gyros, in the Golden Ring called Dionysos cellar (11,50 €), had done it to me for my main course. On the map I had seen the herb salad I chose instead of the standard salad. But it was first brought and could be considered before it was exchanged as desired for the herb salad. That was good, because the standard salad with dominant iceberg salad and industrial dressing is a rampant evil in the Greeks. My herb salad with good carrots was a bit too raw. A good white herb salad must be kneaded so that it becomes juicy and fresh. This force act was executed only half-heartedly. The beef liver discs had the correct thickness and had been strongly drawn from the grill (see photo, but this made them grilled quite dry. Better the lamb chop. The Gyros also convinced me. The tasting revealed that it was the slightly sweet metaxas sauce which acted on me as a convenience product, almost like a heated cocktail sauce, at least in color it was very similar to the salad sauce of the supplemental salad. So I left my fingers off after tasting. The portion sizes very neat. Pepper and salt or other menagen on the tables are false indications, but my well-launched serine brought the requested pepper mill to fade. The following applies to the food: Top average and therefore rated 3.5 stars. Ambience: The Golden Ring is undermined in a historic building in the old town of Meißen.
