"We arrived around 7pm and the place looks deserted. Have to order and pay at the counter even if dining in. Bento boxes were tasty but they were a bit stingy with the jelly which were only half filled in the cup. Udon in soup that tasted like the 2mins noodle seasoning soup was something different but nevertheless tasty. Tempura was nice. Overall, a nice meal."

"$3 per dish is cheap, considerably more so than other places, but the standard does lack slightly. Sashimi was generally fresh, especially the scallop, but the rice was slightly hard and bland. Slicing technique was sub-par, but it depends how much importance you place on that.

"Had the pork Bahn Mi... Was ok, nothing special. I've been spoilt by other BM's where the pork was actually pork belly with crackle sprinkles, and lots of slurpy sauces, lots of lettuce, coriander and mint... Which this Bahn mi did not have. After the recent recommendation by Urban List Sunshine didn't hit the mark for me..."

"Monggo restaurant, one of the best for the central Asian cuisine, has changed its view and the interieur renovated, all its speciality, ambiente and friendliness with its customers. it is the most convenient restaurant for meals. its main and special dishes such as Chinese and Asian dishes, vegetarian curry and noodles have not lost its zing, aroma or excuisitness. the staff is efficient and inexpensive. recommended for family dinner. I loved eating. adequately good dining place for families and friends. good for Asian food together with other choice food availability. the prices are reasonable. eating is from this world when they like asian. eating is high in proteins and also has authentic taste. must pay a visit."

"For an established Thai restaurant they still seem to hold their own. Not as keen on the green curry a I have tried at others but all in all the meals were comfortable and tasty. Favourite dish - Pad Thai<br>

"I must have been to Long Lae about 8 or 9 times over the past year and it never disappoints! I have also lost count of the number of people I have recommended it to and to date, I have had nothing but favourable reviews back.You have to go out of your way to find the place, which is a novelty in itself. It is on Grosvenor Road Mount Lawley but not at the Beaufort end. It's tucked away on a suburban corner surrounded by house.The room is surprisingly airy inside, though the lighting could be ore subdued. The service is sensational; nothing is too much trouble and the wait staff work super hard.The food is VERY authentic, beautifully prepared and leaves higher end Thai restaurants for dead. The standard fare of Pad Thai, Green Curry Chicken, Massaman Beef etc. are all excellent. Try venturing ointo the Special Southern Thai part of the menu and your senses go into overload!One note of caution: the Green Papaya Salad will be offered to you as "mild" or "hot". Don't try to impress your companions by ordering it hot. It is nuclear! The mild version has a lot of kick anyway and you will at least be able to finish it.Despite being prepared for the cheap prices, I am always amazed at what great value it is. One recent visit for our large group of 12 adults provided shared entries and enough mains and rice for there to be food left on the table and it worked out to be $22 a head!I am almost reluctant to give Long Lae such a high rating for fear it becomes overrun. But in the spirit of this site, this is one of the 4 or 5 restaurants in Perth that I cannot imagine not visiting regularly."
