"In a small street of Odeceixe (they are all small! . We arrived there early (7p.m. attracted by the menus and the prices! One hour later, the restaurant was crowded. We drank a refreshing sangria, ate some shrimps and tuna. Everything was very tasty. The service...is fast without being hurried. A nice experience..."

"Estava eu e a minha mulher mais o carrinho de bebé. O restaurante estava vazio e sentamo-nos na mesa do canto para ser mais fácil colocar o carrinho. O empregado veio logo dizer que estávamos a estragar uma mesa de 6 e queria por-nos numa mesa mesmo ao lado do grelhador. Antipáticos e zero focados no cliente. Para um restaurante vazio, querer perder dois clientes é obra!"

"This was the restaurant next door to our accommodation but turned out to be a good choice. Quite a few locals in, celebrating Valentine's day. Very attentive owner and a wide choice of seafood. We had clams and cockles...so yummy. Followed by a mix of...desserts which turned out to be about 6 different sorts of unusual puddings. A delicious meal."

"This was the second time that we had visited Cafe Dorita by the beautiful beach at Odeceixe, since discovering that virtually the entire waiting staff had decamped here from Chaparro in the main village. The view from the terrace across the broad sands to the...river which runs around the back of the beach is just stunning. We were greeted like long-lost friends! I had a grilled ‘musician fish’ (no, me neither, nor anyone on Twitter or Facebook), while my wife had steak. The fish was presented to me for inspection and had a touch of orange about the gills. It turned out to be a good, firm, white fleshed fish, with rather a lot of bones but was perfectly cooked and good value for 12 euros. We shared a chocolate and strawberry cake for sobremesa. Wine was a decent bottle of Portuguese Chardonnay at 10 euros. The bill, including coffee and a brandy, came to just over 40 euros. The service could not have been prompter or more friendly."
