"I've eating in several Pousadas and it's usually a hit or miss situation. In this case it was a pleasant surprise . The food was delicious and the service satisfactory and old world. What made the experience was the atmosphere in particular the room. It's always a pleasure to dine in a historic location, particularly a castle. Not only was the dinner romantic, but breakfast in the courtyard was even more so. The restaurant does Serve regional cuisine and has an extensive wine list. The prices are a bit high but it is a Pousada and breakfast is included with the room."

"We ate here two nights running and called in for a wine on the second day as well, because of the wonderful service we received there. The first night we shared a fish stew and there would still have been enough left for another person!...On the second day we had completed a long walk, so called in for a wine and some of their delicious chocolate cake. In the evening, we returned and had a steak and a fish, both well cooked. The service was excellent, with helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend, especially if you like Portuguese style food."

"We were in Palmela for the Harvest/Wine Festival and fancied some food. Didn’t want fast foods from the festival stalls and came upon this place. Tables were okay and the menu looked fine. Ordered chicken dishes and beef burger and 4 beers. Food was lovely as were the staff. Prices are very reasonable. The bill only came to €40 which included our tip. If ever in Palmela again I would come back here again. Excellent value"

"Take away barbecue with plenty to offer. Friendly service, clean and tidy space. Maybe I was unlucky, but I wasn't a fan. The chicken was overcooked, too dry and the sauce had too much fat. French fries are not suitable for Take away, they arrive home soft and soggy. I brought a roe salad and an octopus salad, they were tasty, but for a product by weight paying a huge amount of liquid at the bottom of the box seems unnecessary. They have room and potential to improve."
