"Had first date night with hubby in a long time here last Saturday. The service by Eddy was flawless. Chef Helens food was inventive and delicious. Thank you for taking us to a culinary journey. We did the 9 course degustation and it was all delicious. I described it to friends as 5 star 5 minutes away. We think it takes so much guys to open a place like this in the area and they do it so well. Good luck to you guys and we will always support you. Keep up the high standard! Can't recommend this place enough and can't think of any place that even comes in close to comparison."

"This restaurant is a hidden gem of the Waikanae region. From the moment you step inside the restaurant, you are greeted with a cosy ambience and great hospitality. The food is delicious and portion sizes are decent. The owner personally made sure we were enjoying the food and offered great insights into the menu, origin of dishes and provided recommendations after understanding our preferences. We had seekh kebab for entree followed by saag paneer and bhuna gosht. We were licking our plates...very tasty food. Highly recommended restaurant."

"We had a fantastic evening last Saturday at the Blue Train. Chris organised a pie, mash and liqueur night for St George's day. We had entertainment, a quiz, cockney walking competition, beer tasting and a right old good time speaking cockney. So next time you're down at the rub-a-dub-dub (pub) get yourself a pig's ear (beer) and enjoy the apples and rice lilley skinner! (nice dinner), and a lot of laughing! Looking forward to next time we visit The Blue Train"

"Great food staff. We ordered takeaway chicken red curry, beef massaman, chicken satay skewers curry puffs they were all yum, the curries were really big servings! Ordered kiwi hot medium but both tasted pretty mild so maybe go higher than usual. Ordering on the phone was super easy love when they give a warning on wait times repeat the order back we will be back"

"Lovely place to get your Chinese cuisine, I regualry get the chicken fried rice thats so filling it usually lasts a good three feeds. They also have dishes cooked and changed out front. I like the cashew nut chicken meatball. The staff are so kind and friendly. Wish them the best for all their good efforts."
