"The New Hong Kong is absolutely delicious, the food is always fresh and it is a very popular restaurant in Penzance. I have eaten countless times in this place and in my opinion it is one of the best Chinese restaurants where I have eaten, not only for taste/fruit and quality, but also for money. I know we're in a pandemic right now and not sure if the buffet is ever opened again, but if it were, I would highly recommend. Although it is not tons of choice because it is a small restaurant, they make for it again with quality, taste, value etc.. Anyway, if you are a takeaway in penzance and imagination, you will not be disappointed to order from this beautiful little jewel! Oh, my is a won ton soup, fast roasted shredded chicken (delicious) and a canton of special roasted rice, thanks to the demand lol."

"We were a party of 4 who went to the Gurnard's Head for lunch. They had 2 menus to choose from, either the standard menu or the lunchtime menu which was 2 courses for £20 or 3 for a bit more (sorry I can't remember how much the 3 courses were). The food on both menus was hard to choose from as it all sounded delicious. I had the 2 courses for £20 and chose broccoli and Stilton soup which was the best I've had anywhere, and I had the beef with cauliflower gratin, bubble and squeak and Yorkshire pudding for my main. Everyone in the party thoroughly enjoyed all their food and the portion sizes were generous! We wanted puddings but were too full for any unfortunately. The service was friendly and staff were welcoming. We were not rushed with our food which was nice, as so often restaurants are quick to get your food out and ready for another cover, but this was much more relaxed dining. It was popular so I would recommend booking. We will be back for more delicious food."
