"A friend & I went for a birthday lunch. Service & atmosphere was great. Lunch was good except for "grilled chicken" on our salads. Definitely not fresh chicken. It was more like prepackaged which was a bid disappointment. For the price it should definitely have been a grilled chicken breast which was what I was expecting. Too bad because it's a great location. Service was very good with the exception I had to ask about dessert options after I got the bill. Should definitely ask prior to bringing bill."

"I find the staff/owner there a bit rude, and the baking I've had from there has been dry and rather bland. I have been told it used to be better but they've really concentrated more on their catering business (which I can't blame them for if it makes more money) and it seems the bakery/luncheon has suffered for it."

"The chef came out to see how much I loved my steak. I have to thank him personally and he told me that everything is brought from a local Alberta farmer. we talked a lot about how it is fun to live in a small town. ponoka is where I was born. my birthday was two days ago and I still have a free brownie! I hope I knew your wife was there too and I forget her name. she's pretty and thanks to her funny staff. I'm glad she didn't sing lol. hitching post rocks!"
