"Passing and decided to go in. All the food tasted home made, fresh and I think it is authentic. The staff are really friendly and the place was spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed the food and intend on being a regular. Everything is cooked fresh. It’s only a small kitchen so it domes all arrive together but you won’t get fresher."

"Good to find this in the centre near Portsmouth and Southsea station, 2 mins walk. Chinese fast food to eat in or go, freshly prepared. Friendly service- sort of choose your own items from 4 sections of the menu and then the chef prepares it,...usual chicken, prawns etc and then a good selection of veg, topped off with a sauce. Served in a US style carton box. Slightly too much sauce for my liking, but no big deal. Side orders of prawn crackers and spring rolls, other items too. Soft drinks. Nice for a quick bite, but not a relaxing Chinese restaurant of course."

"A lovely experience! I really enjoyed the decor of this restaurant and the staff were very friendly and helpful! I ordered Pad Thai with chicken and the Thai-namite prawns. The Pad Thai was cooked incredibly well and served very authenticly. Additionally, the Thai-namite prawns were some of the best battered prawns I've had in a long time!! The price is rather expensive, but admittedly most Thai restaurants are. I will certainly be returning here again!"

"Great food, I myself am Malaysian and love their food however one time I went it was perhaps a tad too salty. In addition to this, the ice kacang needs preferably something like a snowcone blender, if not it won't produce the fine shreds of ice which melts in your mouth. Overall though it is quite a great place to eat, definitely recommend the coconut and peanut butter milkshake."

"The Hong Kong Teabar is under new ownership and the experience seems to have improved. At first I noticed changes to the dishes and thought that it was going to be a change for the worse but after going back a few times more I think it's actually better than it was before. The old owners seem to have plenty of issues with environmental health which was always a bit of a downer when the food seemed good. I spoke to the new proprietor soon after he took the business on and he seemed like a decent person. I will be continuing my weekly visit because I love the place. I took my visiting friend there and he used to live in Portsmouth. He said he'd walked past it many times without knowing how good the food was and claimed that his Kung Po Chicken with Singapore noodles was the best chinese food He'd ever eaten."
