"With mixed bag of reviews I went in this place to satiate my pasta pangs. I wasn't impressed much. Tried two pastas to see if I was judging it on only one padta but both turned out average. <br>

It has a feeling of an old Italian restaurant and you can see the chef cooking. The restaurant looks quite appealing although the taste doesn't match the appeal for pasta. Aglio olio and macroni Mediterranean both fell short to achieve the level of taste they should have.<br>

"Very good table top grill served restaurant. shockproof starters and spread a good evening meal. only the question is that they charge a separate service fee and gst. When I refused to pay the service fees, I was annoyed. I was finally refunded. pls check their bill before they pay! I would have given stars if they were more honest."

"After looking at the review, some may feel like it is a bit too much, but believe me, SURGURU was the highlight of my Pondi trip. This franchise has four branches in Pondicherry itself and a hotel. <br>
The place is pretty easy when it comes to setting up. Nothing special, jazzy but functional perfect and as needed. <br>
It's the South Indian restaurant we visited 3 times in 4 days just because that's what you can count on when you are just too tired to find a new place
It's simple, with the best taste, in the menu in full South Indian, not at all heavy in your pockets, most reliable and fastest with service and to the point functional. <br>
We tried many things on the menu but the best was the baby born dose of masala and the chole puri. <br>
Let yourself go on this joint in Pondi. <br>
I guess I have less to say, but it's the most practical choice in times of time and money crisis. <br>

"While anandha the gas house as hotel was great with nice rooms and friendly staff, the restaurant surabhi, where we were offered free breakfast was bad. that was probably the worst breakfast buffet I ever had. eating was bland, refilling was slow and service was simply rude. I would not recommend it just because it is free. it needs a lot of improvement."

"It was our last night in Pondi and very hesitantly went to Satsang for a dinner and it proved to be not so good experience. Keeping a fancy name and lot of french names in the menu does not make a restaurant excellent one. Other than the ambiance nothing was there to boast upon. Not recommended as there are much more better cafes and restaurants around. Location: It is in the Labourdonnais Street in White Town area of the city and quite close to the beach.
