"This is a restaurant with a good atmosphere, a relaxed vibe and excellent food. The staff is knowledgeable, polite and friendly. I had the sashimi and the tuna was fresh, thick cut and delicious. There is a good variety of Japanese beer and there was no feeling of being rushed. Though the physical space is small, the owners have done a great job of spreading tables out so you you do not feel crowded and still get a feeling of intimacy. Whether it is for a lunch or a dinner this is a great spot for a date or the family."

"Great food at great prices! Authentic food and super tasty. The staff don't speak English very well. Dinner for 8 adults came to under $200. The Peking duck was amazing and you have to try the sweet and sour pork. It's good to chose a few dishes and share between everyone."

"Certainly one of the best views from a cafe in NZ. The meals were served quick, and the iced coffee was interesting with the hokey pokey ice cream. The wedges were ok but the chips were better. There is a large shade above the outdoor dining area which is perfect."

"This place is the best! It was honestly pretty much our highlight of going to Rotorua, we liked it so much we went twice. It's the first restaurant I've seen in New Zealand that offers authentic Chinese breakfast foods. The food is delicious, I really enjoyed the massive hua Juan as well (see photo for how big they are even when they're half eaten). I would recommend that if you like spicy food you actually get some spice added, we had the beef noodles twice and they were even better with some more spice the second time round. The dumplings were also amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside, both times we went there were very loud children. I wish there was a place like this in Wellington!"

"Stop by this particular spot on our road trip to Rotorua since I'm Vietnamese and also was craving for Viet meals. Certainly worth the stop as I'm really impressed by how it's very like those in Vietnam. My parents are a rather picky eater and all appreciate the foods of theirs. Recommend and also will be returned!"

"We enjoyed a beautiful luncheon with good friends up at Aorangi Peak. The welcome was warm and genuine, the views obviously spectacular, but I the food was the star attraction. We had platters with fresh oyster shots, seared scallops with a beautiful dressing, beautiful beef pieces, lamb ribs. Absolutely delicious. Totally awesome experience"

"The reviews are great so we thought we would give it a try and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was great. It does look a little like a hole in the wall but I suppose thats how you know its good. If you go, I would highly recommend the fresh mango juice (it was like a smoothie, so good! And the chicken dumplings."
