"Almost never leave reviews but this place deserves 5 stars it’s one of the only affordable high quality fast casual spots in Santa Monica . The food is 10/10 and the order ahead experience leaves us with a huge smile on our face . Pedro met us at our car and brightened our day with the BEST customer service. We’re so loyal to this place. "What a great place! Love that we can walk there. Great happy hour as well. Steak Tartare is amazing and so are the Mussels. We also had gazpacho for the first time tonight and it was so delicious. Highly recommend Margos from one foodie family to the next! Enjoy, you won’t be disappointed"

"It seemed that they only had one server on the day that we visited. We were meeting for a business meeting so trying to squeeze in meal and conversation within the normal business lunch hour. However service was slow, incomplete (had to wait for water, olive oil for bread), the poor server was running around trying to keep up with the orders, etc. Not recommended for a formal business lunch although nicely located in downtown and quiet atmosphere to have a lunch meeting but seems more for the tired shopper who has time to come in an relax."

"Most recent experience (12/14/2022) with Poom Thai was awful. I tried to place my order over the phone and could not believe how rude the elderly man was and he actually hung up on me. I called back and the scenario repeated. He seemed very stressed and very impatient. Not to be deterred, I placed the order online. 20 minutes later I am at Pool to pick up my order and a lady came out and did not know anything about my order. Went to the back room and returned, saying there was a delay in receiving the online order; she just got it. Should have said: I missed checking the online system or something.Unbelievable. No apology no empathy. Not sure if i will return."

"Service was well superior I was the only one who at the time had eaten out. I ordered the Bento with a page of Udon noodle soup. I chose the 3 item option of three Sashimi pieces, pork catsu and chicken catsu. Came with elk, rice, edamam and salad. Good presentation on a record (I had somehow hoped that a real Bento). The best part of the plate was the Sashimi pieces, the fish looked fresh and tasted good as expected. The two katsus were beautiful and thin and had a crispy outer coating. However, the Katsu itself was quite bland and there was no remarkable taste, I could hardly say the difference between chicken and pig. The Katsu sauce was pretty and was not overly sweet as many other comparable places. The Udon noodles were just the correct amount of chewing gum while the broth base was missing something. This spot comes as a bit expensive for the portions, but it is expected to look at the location. Overall, the service was good, fish was fresh, but the articles were pretty bland."

"Via Veneto is fabulous! The Italian-American food is incandescent. I love Veal Milanese. I've had in in Milan. But Via Veneto's was better. Christian, our server, was perfect. Knowledgeable and attentive but without hovering. We were welcomed at the door when we arrived. Management, staff, food. All perfect!"
