"We ate here on one evening and one lunchtime whilst staying in the Hirsch Hotel which is almost a separate business in that meals in the Stuberl are not as far as we know chargeable to your hotel account. However since our last visit one...innovation is that they accept credit cards for payment rather than being cash only.Incredible value set menu with courses at e inc, soup or courses for Great portions and the Spaghetti Bolognese was pronounced as one of the best by our daughter.Large Radler priced at Cola light at and excellent Festbier at Kugels of eis amounted to and with one Latte cKaffee the bill came to before delightful service from one English speaking waitress"

"We are very lucky in Sonthofen to have 3 greek restaurants. Each one has its own fascination. Poseidon is probably the first established. Many years ago when the present owners took over the premises, it had recently been very extensively renovated; expensive wood paneling of the best quality. This basic ambience has been retained over the years and slowly but surely developed towards a genuine greek feeling. Everything is snug and comfortable. Poseidon is always full which of course is a good sign but then again you have to book! Welcome is the feeling you get on arrival. Service is immediate, friendly and efficient. The menu is just right, not too much, not to little. The food is excellent, well cooked, good products and great taste. The starters, main courses and desserts are all of the same top quality. The prices are fair. One is usually served by the owner who of course can therefore keep her eye on the quality. Why only 4 and not 5 points? Unfortunately there is no place to eat outside. Nevertheless we have visited Poseidon many, many times and will continue to do so."

"Had a very pleasant dinner here with a group of friends. Service was extremely efficient and friendly. God, extensive menus. My meal was quite good, although the pork a little dry and over cooked. The sauce however was good. Nice atmosphere."

"Arrived here on the most auspicious Sunday evening with Germany playing in the World cup final as a result of which this restaurant along with most of the rest in town were closing early. The Gasthof is situated on the outskirts of town and also serves as a local for my wife's friends' son and family who leave nearby in walking distance. The restaurant is warm dark traditional and friendly with huge portions. My wife and her friend each had the Wienerschnitzel which proved too much for them delicious as it was and I was forced to assist them in finishing the main. The friend's son had Rostbraten which was in fact a great steak and I enjoyed the Hirschragout or venison casserole which definitely hit the spot. Drinks included a large coke, Radler, an Action (excellent local brewery)Hell-light beer, and two large weinschorle (white wine Spritzers) for the ladies. by this time we were replete and wouild not have had space for pudding. Overall very satisfactory having a family run restaurant on your doorstep and good value at 66.80 Euros for the four of us."
