"Our dinner was one of the best we have had anywhere. Our waiter, Chris, explained the menu, knew how the food was prepared, so that I could avoid any wheat and brought me a gluten free bun so that I was able to enjoy the honey butter, hummus and olive relish spreads. My fresh oysters were presented with fresh horseradish and a tasty mignonette. My husband's appetizer was perfectly seared scallops and pork bellies. Our mains of halibut on fresh zucchini ribbons, black olives and chick peas and veal served on a base of risotto were beyond delicious. The coffee was fresh and fragrant. Pass on the grape pie. It was the only disappointment."

"The calfs were fried and a sandwich especially was so bad that they could not bite through them. When the server was advised, she said she would tell someone, but there was nothing done to compensate for such a bad meal."

"Last night we ordered a whole chicken & 2 large sides, fries & coleslaw. It was my first trip to Rony's, but certainly not my last trip.The first thing that I noticed when I entered the premises is the nice charcoal smell.I brought our food home & we thoroughly enjoyed it all with another couple. For $30 we rec'd a lot of fries & coleslaw. The fries are hand cut, double fried & delicious. The chicken is gluten free & is basted with a yogurt mix. The coleslaw dressing also has a yogurt base. We also were provided with both mild & hot sauce for the chicken.Their menu also features chicken soup, Moroccan lentil, tabbouleh, falafels & kabobs. Although there are some tables/chairs for eating in, most of the crowd that evening, like us, opted for take-outs."

"This is a review of a few visits to this location. I have been three of four times for a beer and the bar food specials, the service is great, the food comes quickly and the beer is cold. The $ 6.00 app specials are what I usually order, chicken wings and nachos. The wings are awesome but they insist on saucing them at the table in a bowl with a lid on it and this has resulted once in sauce flying over my dinner guest. I will go back and back again for this side of the restaurant.I have only eaten in the restaurant/dining side side twice, it's looking a little dated, the TV's are small and certainly out of date, not high definition. One of the times in the dining room I decided to have the BBQ chicken pizza. I thought that would be a regular pizza with some BBQ chicken on it but to my horror is was a chicken pizza where the tomato sauce had been replaced with BBQ sauce, it was basically like eating straight BBQ sauce. I picked at it but didn't mention anything until it came time to pay the bill.When it was time to pay the bill I had no intention of asking for a comp on the bill, however when I mentioned I really didn't enjoy the pizza the waitress immediately went and got her manager.The manager was excellent, he asked me specifically what I didn't like about the BBQ Chicken Pizza which I assume he could then relay to the cook and to H/O and he insisted on taking the pizza off the bill, he handled the customer complaint perfectly.I believe that pizza is off the menu now, at least it isn't on the website.I have also had a business meeting on the restaurant side and the food was quite good, they do have healthy and lighter options for lunch which is a huge positive when you don't want to be weighed down for the afternoon."

"First, to clarify: This restaurant is located on a prominent corner on Queenston Road in Stoney Creek. The place used to be named "Miss Thailand" but was bought out a year or so ago by a company that operates under the name "My Thai" in Hamilton and, I believe, Ancaster. We were customers of Miss Thailand and were sorry to see it go. Our first experience with "My Thai" in Stoney Creek was last night and we were pleased. The dining room is within a fairly small place in a shopping plaza, but is warm and the décor is gorgeous. Everything is spotlessly clean and the waitress was dressed in Thai clothing. Food was beautifully presented and we enjoyed the flavours. Overall it was a lovely evening. The only downside was the cost, which was higher than one might expect for in a similar setting. Banana Leaf, which is probably only a couple of kilometres away, would be their chief competition. I haven't decided yet which one I prefer."

"Stopped here for a late lunch, so we missed their $5.99 lunch special but got to choose our own meals and that was a special treat! Hubby had mixed seafood and mixed vegetables...huge portion; delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the beef and mixed vegetables for $8.99. Vegetables are steamed just right. Lots of beef. Delicious very satisfying healthy food. We highly recommend this place. We will keep coming here. Owner waits on you...lovely service and it is a family restaurant...so just a wonderful atmosphere."
