"This little hidden Vietnamese restaurant is hidden down the depths of Left Bank. It’s a great stop for takeaways or a quick affordable pretty tasty meal. The decor is really non-existent – just some tables and chairs in a room, with a TV going in the corner which I find really odd.<br/ <br/ The food does pack a lot of flavour though, and almost all the meals are gluten free which is always a plus in my books. I always love getting the beef spring roll on rice noodles, which is a very refreshing meal and is served with a lovely sauce to tie it all together. Their pho’s are nice enough but there are other Vietnamese restaurants that provide ones with a little more depth of flavour. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the amount you receive though.<br/ <br/ Sarah Reynolds #challenge"

"Great little place to eat. Parking outside and across the road. Staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. My Tom Yum Soup was delicious and warmed my face long after I had finished eating. Very tasty with authentic Thai flavours. Portion sizes were great. Food was value for money. Looking forward to coming back again."

"Was pleasantly surprised by this pub. Very grand upon entry, spacious, and has 20s/Great Gatsby like feel to it. Large main and beverage lists, decently priced by comparison to Wellington CBD standard. I chose the 250g Rib eye steak, which was cooked medium rare, and it was absolutely delicious very tender, and the garlic butter was a nice touch (see photo). I split a dessert (the $6 Triple Chocolate Cheesecake) with my partner and it was just the right amount because it was so rich. All desserts are $6 which is unheard of, or you can get all 3 for $15 great for sharing, or if you just want to pig out. <br/ <br/ Have recommended to all, will definitely be back again soon!"

"I have dined at Hede a number of times. I think the value is terrific, and I couldn't really fault the food. The atmos is a bit odd, I do think this restaurant needs a little TLC and a refurb the tables and chairs need a make over and the whole place could do with a major clean and fresh paint. I enjoyed the range of sushi we had, and the karaage chicken was very delicious and I order it every time I go. Very good curry sauce, tempura vegetables and perfect miso. The service is pleasant, not mind blowing just getting the job done. They'd definitely struggle if they got a sudden rush as it's skeleton staffing. I like that it's BYO because I never go to restaurants that are BYO really so it's kind of fun to bring a bottle of wine of your choice for a change. I liked the J pop that was playing, it was frantic and fun. I definitely will continue to go because I know what to expect."
