"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED <br/ <br/ Taka is one of the Best Japanese places in the city if you ask me personally. It is also very affordable and the serving sizes are generous! <br/ <br/ When I come here I always order the Karaage chicken that comes with rice and miso soup! I would definitely recommend this as the chicken is always cooked to perfection and you can self serve yourself with different suaves. <br/ If not the chicken karaage then I would highly recommend the chicken Katsu or the Katsu don !"

"I ordered their salmon bento off deliveroo. It was tasty, I liked their chicken katsu sushi. This was $15.50 for salmon which is not too expensive. The only fault was no option buy extra salad on deliveroo, other than that pretty good."

"This was our first visit to the new location on St George's Terrace. The new space is contemporary and interesting yet still retains the fine dining ambiance upstairs. I'm certainly looking forward to having a drink on the front terrace when the weather warms up as well as aspiring to not only a chef's table dinner but also a private room dinner which are both features of the new restaurant. We asked for recommendations from Clyde and Jessica from the menu and their suggestions were spot on. For our entree we chose seafood chowder and the scallops both of which were really flavoursome and very very fresh. I was feeling like something a bit different so went with the slow cooked abalone entree for the main course whilst my husband took Clyde's recommendation and ordered the crispy pork belly. Again, both dishes were superb and the attention to detail with the different elements and garnishes was a highlight. A mixed tomato, basil, field mushroom and bocconcini salad was the perfect accompaniment.<br/>We loved the little complimentary amuse bouches between courses that were tiny taste sensations and the house made breads were also sensational. For dessert we shared the mandarin with ginger that was an excellent light but tasty finish to our meal.<br/>All in all we had a lovely night with fantastic food, perfectly matched wines and friendly efficient service from all the staff."

"Actual score: 4.5<br/ <br/ An alleyway gem. Top points for the handmade udon which had great bounce and chew, and the dashi broth which you could tell was made from scratch without cheating. <br/ <br/ They have an excellent selection of hot and cold udon, and varieties ranging from the ultra-classic (e.g. Zaru/original) all the way to some seriously boundary-pushing creations (e.g. udon carbonara). Curry udon and rice dishes also available, as well as a good offering of add-ons like takoyaki, tempuras, croquette, etc.<br/ <br/ I enjoy this style of ordering and eating and good to see it appear in Perth. No-nonsense and good value. Highly recommended."
