"A beautiful rustic restaurant. The carvings were really delicious, unfortunately the sauce seemed to have been a finished product, as it was also very salty. The apple strudel was soaked and soaked. The service was very friendly and accommodating. price performance"

"We took refuge here on a particularly wet day in Zell and enjoyed a good lunch. Our arrival was timed to perfection as the place was already beginning to fill up. The restaurant consists of a series of rather austere interconnecting rooms. We were seated at a table in one of the back rooms. The restaurant serves the kind of plain, hearty food that you can find all over Germany. We ordered schnitzels, which came with chips and coleslaw. My zigeuner-schnitzel was drenched in a luridly intense red paprika sauce, but it tasted fine. We drank local wine and finished our meal with coffee and glasses of Poire Williams. The total bill for three came to 51€, which we thought was excellent value. Service was efficient and friendly. Watch out for the slippery floor in the toilets though!"
