"Me and the BF went for Sunday lunch. I had the beef and he had the pork. We were both extremely happy with our food, it was absolutely delicious! We both had the bread and butter pudding and agreed its the best we've had."

"Last minute booking for three initially, but very graciously accommodated a fourth at very short notice, thanks to a very helpful duty manager. Food and wine, while not cheap, was delicious. Presentation was terrific. Service from the young Neapolitan Antonio downstairs was exemplary. Great to see well trained, enthusiastic, knowledgable staff. He contributed hugely to a very enjoyable experience. Will be back."

"Beautifully done vegetables and meat dishes. The stand outs were their carrots and cabbage (side dish) The pistachio ice cream dessert is less than the sum of its parts it would be better off if they served the ice cream by itself."

"My Partner and I went out for drinks in Swindon Old Town the other Saturday night and wound up in The Royal Oak. The Beer Cider range was good and the Gin selection excellent. It was very busy no seating available but...the bar staff were brilliant, working amazingly hard to ensure that us thirsty drinkers weren't kept waiting all with big smiles and friendly demeanours. The other patrons were equally friendly and chatty, this could be because we were all of a more mature age! Whilst we didn't eat here, we did check out the menu and we plan on coming back for dinner."

"Amazing service and food even on a busy Friday evening. Carla our server couldn’t do enough and was a great host/server. The food itself was all fresh and home made, even the chips! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to dine out in the city centre."

"Went for a drink and it turned into an afternoon of drinking with a bite to eat. Fairly large place inside with some seating out the front too. The service was ok and the waitresses all seemed friendly. It seemed more expensive than other places but I’m not sure what for. My wife drank a drink called Gold Raspberry all afternoon. Loved them. I had a mix of beers and a Mojito. The Mojito wasn’t the best, just strong. We ended up having a couple of the Crispy Chicken Burgers which were really nice. Big in size and tasty. Helped soak up the alcohol... I would go back again to try other burgers and the wife I’m sure would want another Gold Raspberry!"

"Nice place, but it can be smokey inside which I still find strange. Normal selection of beers and cocktails, you will have the chance to see many locals there. Hamburgers are also good there."
