"It was great food. There was one stocky bald guy who was a really good waiter. He was working his socks off. Then other staff were not so good. Chatting with friends at the bar while our large party needed drinks. A couple of the kitchen staff wandering about with a poor attitude, looking like they didn't want to be there. Should be happy to work there. It's a brilliant pub and they have a nice atmosphere to work in. I have high standards when I go for a meal. It's a rare treat for people. I don't want to see staff acting like they're doing you a favour by being there. On a side note you can see food staff on their phones touching work surfaces when the kitchen doors open. I would say that's quite unhygienic for food preparation. If I see staff using phones etc who prepare food it makes me worry about hygiene. It's like when I went in McDonald's and saw staff constantly touching their face. I've not been back since. Was 5 years ago. I might be wrong they might be cleaning their hands straight after. Just telling you what I saw and how you might be able to do a bit better. Appreciate good staff are in short supply at the moment."

"What a lovely little pub down a side street off the main road. We was in Manchester for the day due to the football match. First time in Manchester we was looking for somewhere to eat and we was checking everywhere but all full so we just kept walking on the main road where we stopped and had a look round and I just seen a big notice on a side of a building saying great food. I made my husband to go in and see if there were any tables available. We was lucky there were a couple of tables free. We was welcomed by the bar man he was very friendly. Great selection of food. My husband had a burger with fries and a beer, my son had the southern fried chicken foot long sub with fries and a coke, I had the southern fried chicken wrap with fries and a J20 and a side of garlic bread. The food was amazing, cooked freshly and great value for money it was around £35. It also gives you 3 different options and prices that includes a drink, so you have soft drink, alcohol drink and drink premium drink some drinks are not included but it tells you on the menu what you can choose from. Very friendly staff. We would definitely go back there when we are next in Manchester. Highly recommended and you won't be disappointed."

"So disappointed tonight. Havnt been here for quite sometime. Had recommended this pub to a friend for her birthday as have not been disappointed before with food or service. Tonight was different. Maybe because we didn't go till 7 but that should not be an excuse. Food order was wrong and the woman serving it was rather rude it was as if our fault. The food was like it was the dregs at end of the day. One of our party ordered the curry she didn't even get her rice and the amount of curry in the bowl wasn't even half. Such a shame and very disappointing. Heard people on table over from us who also got incorrect order. Shocking really"
