"I had been eyeing this place near our hotel for days after feeling really full of heavy food. It just had this really special clean, homemade bright vibe that kept calling to me. My husband was jonesing for another heavy german schnitzel when I put my foot down and pouted until he would go in. We are so glad we did. The owner, Marcos, is a lovely man who enjoys explaining how he came to present this lovely, but unique menu to this area. His food is southern German and all of his ingredients organic. He serves a bavarian beer as well as these great fruit spritzers. The spatzle is oddly light and very fresh and tasty. His fruit spritzer supplier happened to be sitting down for a meal, so we had a lively chat (in English) about organic food in Germany, Las Vegas, & other topics we fell in to. It's hard to believe that essentially pasta would be so wonderful, but it is. It is made with love and caring, and presented in a light, honest way. Spatz Up stands out as truly special in a sea of sameness restaurant wise. I do believe we will go here every night for the rest of our trip."
