"The restaurant wasn’t directly next to the highway so one of the waiters was waiting with a menu on the pavement. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have stumbled upon this place. Definitely on the pricier side compared to most places in the area but personally worth it for the premium experience we had. The food was delicious, the service was first-rate and the atmosphere was great. It was windy and raining that night but they managed to make the most of it with great ambient lighting and classy music. They had a wide range of choices for both food and drinks. We were frequently visited throughout by the manager who was very pleasant and the waiter, George who was very kind and was an absolute star. We were given complimentary locally produced chocolates and raki after our meal. Looking forward to our next visit when we return to Crete! Truly remarkable service."

"Okay, it 's now official: There are no really bad restaurants in Almyrida, but for me this is the best restaurant in the village at the moment. CostAnita is a fairly large restaurant located at the end of the village on the beach where it is the last tavern in the row. We only discovered it in 2017, but we had to go back right away. There is quite an extensive menu and of course we have not tried everything yet. The portions are large, the dishes are served as if it were a painting and the people who work there are extremely friendly. The fish chips are finger licking good, the salads are a delight and the fries are deliciously crispy. A very big thumbs up for CostAnita."
