"My tea cup was cracked, the food was placed down with absolutely no explanation, we had no clue what was in the sandwiches or what the cakes were. Staff never spoke, regents street shop was tired I think perhaps the staff were too. Overall disappointing."

"I went here for my 20th Birthday, booked a table of 8 for afternoon tea. When I came the table wasn't ready and they never asked for my reservation name. Then the waitress gave us lunch menus after stating we'd be having afternoon tea. And as only 4 of us had arrived and the other 4 were parking the other car. The waitress asked if she could bring everything out now? I felt about rushed and the waitress had very poor attitude towards us. Table maintenance wasn't the best as everyone had finished their teas and it was on the table for 2 hours. I understand it got a bit busy but I could feel the stress from this waitress and it wasn't pleasent. The manager I don't remeber a name did look after us on the other hand and made sure we were okay. However for spending nearlly £200 and £20 service charge I wish I didn't bother. Sorry for this review, I can imagine it is probably an amazing place. But I was let down by my experience."

"Called here for lunch filling a visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Ordered 2 club sandwiches. After waiting half an hour, I checked with one of the waiters if our order had gone through. Sandwiches arrived shortly after lukewarm as though they had been...left unattended- the place wasn’t overly busy and there were several staff. My sandwich contained a fried egg, a small piece of fried breadcrumbed chicken and a small quantity of avocado on 3 huge slices of bread; my husband’s sandwich was similar but without the egg. The cost just for the 2 sandwiches including 12.5% tip was £30+. We travel a lot and have had a few poor experiences as well as many fabulous dining experiences but this was something else! Fortunately we dined in 8 places overall during our stay in London and 6 of the 7 others were good with 3 outstanding experiences. The problem is you can’t tell until you’ve tried sometimes. Enjoy spending our money."
