"I was visiting from out of town and on OpenTable this was the only place open at a later hour and at a convenient walk from the hotel I was staying at. I had made a reservation regardless cause I was like you never know, but when I got to the restaurant, the Host looked so confused, as if I offended him that I said reservation for two he didn’t even check. He just sat my friend and I in the very corner next to the door where no one can see us. We sat there for 10 minutes before receiving any water and then we continue to look at all the servers around busting tables still wanting some water. Now, I work in food and beverage I’m well versed in understanding that each server has their own section while the restaurant is operating. However, even at our location if I see someone’s table and the guest looks confused or is looking around I would be inclined to at least help a fellow server out and pour my co workers table some water while they’re finishing up whatever they are doing. That wasn’t the case for this restaurant… Finally, our server came after another 15 minutes got our drink order and got our food order in and then after all said and done we are enjoying our meal, the food is mid it’s fine, nothing extravagant. After he consistently was asking us while we are eating if we’re doing OK it wasn’t till after we were full and ready for the check noticing that we were one of the last few people left he was nowhere to be found to get us our check…. I know how important it is to want to go home after a long days work so seeing the last table lingering around after closing hours is annoying. So why would I wanna be that table? Anyways, he finally came and got my CC and we left as soon as we could."
