"We booked at La Regina as it is very near King's Cross Station. Time was short so we ordered only basic main courses and quick drinks. Service was fairly prompt and no complaints with the food. I would eat there again under similar circumstances."

"VERY foxy lady from Notting Hill agrees to have dinner with me at short notice. We tried to dine Polpo before but it was booked for private event so went elsewhere! This time I call to book but no answer.Notwithstanding I make my way to NH and find Polpo bustling. Am initially told will have to wait 1/2 hour for table although there are a couple of empty tables which are reserved but I can wait at. Soon after VERY foxy lady arrives, wearing less red than often!!, and its soon v clear she's well known to staff and the table is no problem ! The atmosphere is great with happy dinners enjoying their Saturday night, seating is very comfortable and volume of conversation great although VERY foxy lady tells me I speak too loudly asks if I am partially deaf!. She finds other faults in me as well . I've never claimed to be perfect! Then we get to food, We both go for sea bass with broad bean artichoke vignole(which £11 is bargain) and the zucchini salad with some delightful arancini to start with. Well with the company of the VERY foxy lady it was set to be a good evening She was in good form food lived up to expectations but beyond that was the service the enthusiasm of the team looking after us. They were so welcoming made the evening very special.Thanks toTonchi,Kristo Sheila for most enjoyable evening. I understand this venu of Polpo is closing but hope the great staff transfer elsewhere and the VERY foxy lady from NH will please join me for dinner with them again."

"I got the red conchiglie pasta, and I was a bit hesitant to order it because I’m extremely picky about my pesto. But I’m so glad I did because the pasta and the pesto were both outstanding! Extremely fresh ingredients and tons of flavor. We also got the cheesy garlic bread, which was a hit! Their cocktails were great too, and the staff were as nice as can be! Wish we lived in London so I could go back!"
