"Strolling along the streets of Avignon old town the traveler is faced with a multitude of choices when it comes to food. We already had had some French food during our trip, so we decided to be "adventurous" and eat something different - and this is when we came across La Couscousserie de L'Horloge. The menu includes some vegetarian options but also dishes with chicken and lamb. I had initially decided to go with a chicken tagine, but our waiter recommended the lamb tagine - and right he was. The prunes, apricots and oranges mingled nicely with the flavors of cinnamon and cumin, The portions were good sized. The wine recommended - a Moroccan rose - was OK and worked well with our meal, but was nothing special.Service was friendly and professional, and as we were very early for dinner, we were the only customers when we arrived. As a result, we were served very promptly. Definitely an adventure worth repeating."

"We went to grab a late lunch after getting off of Eurostar. All was fine until the bill came and refused any form of credit card. No visa no MasterCard. Nothing. He pointed to the back cover of the menu as if in a thick menu anyone gets there where it says cash only. Fortunately I had points and so paid the bill with this currency. I could of as easily not had cash for a lunch for 6. I am very unhappy due to this. Ridiculous and would not go back. I am fine with a no credit cards policy but it should be posted out front and on the front of the menu so it is clear prior to service."
