"On our insulting holiday day we had somehow the need to eat delicious Italian cuisine at noon. At the same time, I remembered that we wanted to make a visit to the Old Oberförsterei in Kelsterbach for a long time as we had only heard praise. So we took the opportunity and drove briefly to the neighboring town of Kelsterbach. For the parking lot it is best to go to the parking garage of the Fritz Treutel Bürgerhaus, the hour costs only 0.20€. From there you went to the Old Oberförsterei in two minutes. At the latest, you should decide whether you can dine in the Ristorante Ambiente Italiano or in the Trattoria Alte Oberförsterei, as both gastro plants are housed in the same building. It can therefore not hurt, a look at the menus of the very nicely designed homepage. I missed this look that annoyed me later, and more later. The Ristorante offers creative Italian cuisine, the Trattoria traditional Mediterranean cuisine. My treasure decided to test the cuisine of the Trattoria this afternoon so that we were led to a beautiful covered table in a bay with a magnificent view of the Main. The signore in the service was a somewhat older semester and acted with appropriate routine. Here someone understood his craft and practiced it with joy and kindness, old school last. Nevertheless, there is a reason for criticism, and I will go on to her in the end. The selection of drinks went fast, my treasure chose Cola Licht, the driver an alk-free wheat. Unfortunately there were only Schöfferhofer, the host could definitely improve, but in the need.... After a reasonable waiting period, the well-cooled drinks were served and the food order was accepted. So we chose as an appetizer: Verdure fresche grigliate e Caprino gratinato Grilled fresh vegetables with gratined goat cheese (10.90 L ́Antipasto misto Italiano Mixed Italian appetizer plate (14.90) and in the main course: Pennette con Salmone Short noodles with fresh salmon, cherry tomatoes and leek meadows (990) For this purpose, a very delicious olive oil was added, which was tasted very aromatically via the baguette. The waiting period up to the appetizers was limited before we only ordered a few and it took only 30 minutes until the plates were in front of us. But then we were more than tastefully compensated. The grilled vegetables (Paprika, Zuccini and Aubergine with Madame's grilled goat cheese were well dimensioned and also on my mixed appetizer plate it was found. In addition, Vitello Tonnato (thin sliced veal with tuna cream and capers, wild salmon with cream Fraiche and salmon caviar, buffalo Mozzarella with fresh tomatoes and basil, and rocket salad with sprinkled Parmigiano cheese were prepared. Everything was nicely arranged on the plate, each individual component was excellently costed. The only criticism of my part because I was extremely penile: the Tonnato was on the Vitello, and I just can't understand. Each sauce level is under the meat, only at this dish you get the minimum. I want to see my calfs as a whole without scratching the sauce. It may sound high after jammering, but if a gastrooper has a certain claim to be in the upper middle class, that can be a point of criticism for me personally. In the pizzeria around the corner I don't expect it, but here! Just when I felt after a long time whether the cook was collecting eggs for my spaghetti Carbonara in the chicken stable, the main square was served. Another half hour waiting time is definitely too long if only four guests are present. Here it is possible to improve, not to consider how long it takes in full profession. The pentnettes with salmon were surrounded by an excellent tomatoes decorated with herbs and discrete garlic. The pasta al dente, the salmon not completely boiled up! The crowd was pretty decent, Madame didn't do everything. The part of spaghetti on my plate was also gigantic, which is very deceived in the photo! Here too, the pasta was perfect at the cooking point. The Guanciale was slightly fried and in combination with the egg and the Pecorino cheese gave a fantastic flavor composition, SO must taste a Carbonara for me. There was nothing to complain about cleanliness in the guest room, even the toilets in the cellar perfectly! When leaving the place, a flying flyer was pressed (see photo that was on a bistro table in the entrance area. There I had to read that there was a lunch menu in the Trattoria (front and main food for 9.90 and a business dinner in the Ristorante (3 or 4 courses for 21 26 €). Yes, I could have read this on the homepage, and then I would have noticed the offer, but who has not yet read, anger in the review, as mentioned earlier. On the other hand, I would have been able to steer this offer by a service power as we expect. And in one point the service must leave feathers: a digestive or espresso was neither rich nor in demand. If you don't offer a house, you would at least have asked if you wanted one. How do we rate: Service: 3* Ambience: 4.5* Cleanliness: 5* Food: 4.5* PLV: 4* Conclusion after kitchen trip: 4 again happy! A way around here is definitely worth it. I am pleased to see if the service has changed. A hint of the restaurant about the criticism here will follow."

"You couldn 't get a more typical Italian pizzeria than the Amalfi: wood-fired oven, chequered tablecloths on the tables, shelves of wine bottles and wall murals of the Costiera Amalfitana . The pizzaiolo himself (i.e. chef) looks like the quintessential Italian guy from Naples. The staff is...very friendly (at least after a bit of ice-breaking) and the atmosphere very family-like. The food is pretty good and that is also the opinion of a few colleagues of mine whom I took to this restaurant and were happy to come back. I tried a number of pizzas and a couple of pastas and always left full up and satisfied. They are also happy to make customised pizzas, if you fancy some particular combination of toppings. The only thing I would change of their pizza recipe is the amount of salt in the dough; I 'm sure a lot of people like it pretty salty, but I would definitely prefer a reduced salt or even no-salt pizza (could that be an idea for a Tuscan pizza ? I think it would be great). I 'll probably be back again in Frankfurt for business, sooner or later, and already know where to go for dinner, when I 'm near the airport."
