"On advice from Mr. Ferraaris (a restaurant with a sundial drink) I go to this restaurant run by valentino, a great chef from the past in Ascona. Beautiful location, the terrace is, although small, very warm and welcoming. The service is up to the room and the kitchen has impressed me a lot. I'll come back very gladly."

"Very well located this place can boast also a superb interior and atmosphere. Wonderful and courteous service adds up to the experience without a doubt. But the food... absolutely delicious. We had ordered two types of pasta one with deer and the other one with...truffle, which were excellent to the fullest extent. Then we opted for an octopus and it was one of the best we had ever tried before. So my advice be sure to visit this place, it is well worth it!"

"Nice place with table with lake view, clean place and good service (just a bit slow) Some good selection of pasta, meat/fish, salads and desserts Good portions but a little expensive but, probably, aligned with the area We took 2 risotto food was not exceptional but ok. "Prenote to the hotel star restaurant always owned by the hotel restaurant owner Reginetta. I'll be there at 4:30, and I'm told to wait for the room. At 19.00 a.m., with the excuse of a break of the pipes, we look randomly in the room we had to occupy, we were hijacked to the queen accompanied by a boy with a plastic bag containing towels and shamps from the room. Let's go up to the room and find ourselves in front of an indescribable show. I didn't even see a hotel room in those conditions.spines of the current broken and peeled beds with only mattress covers and without sheets and I dare not tell the rest not to say the rest of the rooms and bathrooms even in the room but in common. I didn't even want to photograph the crap I found. We finally left immediately."

"The restaurant is just 1-2 minutes from the piazza grande in a small side street, away from the many tourist! very pleasant to eat even if it is otherwise too hot. In addition to the tables in de gasse you can also see the inner part of the restauranz, really pretty and a tipp for locarno.The service is very friendly and attentive! also eating is really very good and the prices are very fair for this situation, not artificially overpriced!I will definitely come again!"

"We have ordered lasagna and some pasta woth mushrooms, and both dishes were tasteless. Lasagna was about 2cm high, almost no meat and tomato sauce, and no flavor whatsoever. Pasta was in creamy sauce, also flavorless. Very disappointing. Would definitely recommend other places."

"A great escape from the fancy-pants atmosphere of locarno. if you're looking for a low-key place to eat, this is a wonderful stop. family owned a run, they serve quality italian food for reasonable prices. the atmosphere is friendly, not fancy. we had pasta and...pizza, with a salad and the house wine- everything was excellent, especially the spaghetti carbonara."
