"I don't know how many tourists visit Neuwied. We probably wouldn't have except for an empty day with no plans. So we took the train down and started walking around. After a couple of hours of picture taking and window shopping, it was time to...find something to eat. As an Asian, pasta isn't exactly on our menu, but I relented after my husband read the menu board outside of this eatery. I really began to worry when we saw no other customers inside. I quit worrying when the first dish hit our table. As I said, I'm not a fan of Italian food. But I AM NOW A FAN of the La Palma! The salad was fresh and tasty, and the huge plate of fried calamari was as tender as the steamed veggies that accompanied it. I love seafood and this is one of the best dishes I've had anywhere. My husband ordered minestrone and a baked combination of lasagne, macaroni, tortellini. and spaghetti for euros. He was quiet so that means he was happy. After the meal our waiter brought us a small caramel dessert and shots of Amaretto. It was his gift to us. We may never get back to this little restaurant. But it is our hope that this review will inspire others to visit a place who offers good food at a good price. This review is our gift to them."

"We have been in the restaurant for the first time on Sunday and have asked for security directly before the placement whether card payment is possible, which has been answered with JA as usual today.We were then placed at one of the many free tables that was unfortunately still dirty. Here the operation then put a new tablecloth over it so you can no longer see the stains or crumbs .The pizza was ok and the price was appropriate and came very quickly.After we wanted to pay now, we were pointed out that can only be paid with an EC card and not contactless. We have offered to transfer the 30€ in question without success. Then we tried to make a solution by Paypal without success.After we had to discuss with the very undamaged operation for a few minutes, we asked for the boss the operation in the kitchen has held several consultations but again without success. The boss did not want to talk to us.Finally, a guest offered us to resolve the situation with enough cash as he has Paypal. At the place: Thank you!After 15min we were able to pay with foreign money, but still the service did not want to see a mistake."
