"Go here if someone else is paying for it and you’re looking for a spot that’s ambiance cuisine. The staff are lovely and solicitous. The eggs benedict were decent but not anything special; I was a little hungry after the $20 two eggs on biscuits with a smattering of dressed greens on the side no home fries : which I’ve gotten elsewhere). You can get much more generous brunch portions for less money at other restaurants in New Haven nearby Maison Mathis; East Rock Poppy’s or Pantry come to mind). That being said, the dining room is lovely, with the giant glass windows that make its home in downtown hotel The Study) an iconic fixture on Chapel Street providing an expansive view of passerby."

"Excellent meal, for my wife and me both. she had escaped, I had healed. we started with escargot and ended with a soufflee and the courses with wein paired. every piece of the meal wonderful and the service was perfect. it is not cheap, but also not exaggerated. the only minor negatiw is that it was quite loud against the end of our time. but that had its charm. the atmosphere reminds of a turn of the fair caffes from the century."

"Really good pizza here. I went around 1pm on a weekday and it was surprisingly busy for a weekday but there was still plenty of seating available. I got a regular cheese pie and the taste started off pretty good but then the cheese began to harden and didn?t taste as good as the first few bites this is normal but I was surprised at how quickly it happened. The bake on the pizza also wasn?t as good as Sally?s and frank Pepe?s in my opinion. The service here is great though and this place is worth checking out just for the historic nature or the establishment"

"Took my husband out for his birthday dinner. Table location was great. Server was great. Drinks were great. He loved his veal chop with noodles and mushroom gravy. My filet sea bass was good with spinach and potatoes. Desserts were normal nothing exciting to me so we didn’t order any. Overall We were very happy and would return again."

"Lovely restaurant in a good location. Very nice decor. Friendly staff. The prices were quite high for New Haven and I was a bit surprised by that. We got smaller portions of entrees which were very tasty but Gnochi did not satisfy. Wine was also very pricey. More like NYC prices. I might go again but with so many choices of great food in New Haven right in the same area, youâll get more for your money elsewhere."

"I used to live just down the street from Brick Oven Pizza, New Haven’s finest pizza establishment. Ever since I moved away, I’ve been heartbroken every Saturday night, when I inevitably crave my favorite slice. I come here every time I pass through town. The pizza is consistently sublimely delicious, a cut above even in a city known for its pizza. Also, the mozzarella stick scene in New Haven is just plain said, and the Mozz sticks at Brick oven are delicious. Best in the city by far."
