"We found Cantina de'Corvi in our wanderings around Spoletto, and liked the menu which advertised traditional Umbrian fare. We also very much liked the location next to a church built in the 12th century, and is itself in the cellars of a 15th century palazzo. We were seated in a stone lined domed room and enjoyed the attention of the host who advised us on some wine, the food, and at our request, a little history. The restaurant advertises that is an osteria di tradizione . We started with a glass each of rose that was crisp and dry, and very good as an aperitif. It was mainly sangiovese. For the meal we shared a half litre of house red which was a blend of sagrantino, cabernet, merlot and sangiovese that matched the food well. As a house wine it was a good one, locally made, with lots of fruit showing through. We had pasta as a first course, pappadelle al ragu di cinghuale (wild boar meat sauce), and stragozzi which is a thicker form of spaghetti, with a sauce of green beans, pork, and pecorino cheese. These were delicious, and not too large. We followed the pasta with a serve of carpaccio di manzo marinato alle erbe fini, and a serve of maialino in porchetta with roast potatoes. The carpaccio was a generous serve of very thinly sliced beef fillet marinated with a herb dressing. The maialino was a roll of roast pork with herbs. We shared a small plate of chicoria, steamed and served like spinach, but quite peppery. Coffee completed an excellent lunch."

"Beautiful location, nice atmosphere, romantic and elegant. However, it turned out to be a big disappointment in the end. The bottle of wine suggested by Sommelier turned out to be spoilt and tasted like classical vinegar. And the Waiter insisted that it was how it tasted. We ordered another brand, which was Okay. The ravioli came cold and uncooked, as if it was in hot water for few seconds and, again the waiter insisted that it was how they made it. The green salad was from a week before, soaked and limp in oil and salt. The main course was so bad, they went back almost untouched. Our hosts who had been there before asked if the Chef was changed or was absent that night. It is a pity that everything can go bad in one night and the Waiter was not convincing every time he apologized coldly."

"I've been very satisfied with this restaurant. The service and the personal were great, always available and always kind. The cooking was excellent: the stringozzi and each type of pasta on the menu are hand-made and freshly prepared, so maybe waiting times for each dish are not very fast, but the final result it's worth it! I'm sure I will come back there since I've been very happy!"

"Under the pandemic I tried their takeaway dishes (fish menu) and last Sunday we celebrated my mother's birthday by choosing a wonderful fish menu! fresh fish and selected wines. we also requested a gluten-free cake to celebrate the event and it was really delicious. Thanks really we felt super pampered. very recommended"
