"The customer service from Gold Fish restaurant was impeccable. Drinks were poured, hot towels given, the wait staff were polite, friendly and unobtrusive. The restaurant is clean with minimalist yet tasteful decor. We had an entree each, three mains, a large special fried rice and a large steamed rice to share between the five of us. Best dish we got was the Sizzling Mongolian beef - very tasty! We were all quite comfortably full so we took home half of each of the rices, and some of the crispy fish in creamy chicken & corn which was our least favorite out of the three mains. (Tasted just like the fish was stuck in a bowl of chicken & corn soup.) Overall a lovely dining experience. $136 for five people was good value too."

"That's about it. Really don't know how you can get suchi wrong but perhaps the two times I went it was a slow trade day as the suchi tasted like it had been sitting in the display a little to long. The idea of staying open late is fantastic and just what the area needs, opens up the opportunity for a quick meal to take home after getting off the train, but the variety late in the day is poor. Perhaps if they address this, business would improve significantly, maybe some avarcardo suchi."

"These are without doubt the best Dim Sims in Melbourne! It 's been a secret for a very long time, at least 20 years. Much better than anything the South Melbourne market can provide. The same Chinese grandma comes in weekly to make hundreds and they sell out. Every taxi driver I 've ask to take me to Mentone has always said 'excellent I 'm get a few dozen dim sims '. Don 't eat in, just join the long numbers of people buying buckets of the best cold dims anywhere, but please don 't say I told you."

"Very friendly staff, prompt service together with reasonable quality food that tastes very good. Singapore Noodles were terrific, as were sesame prawns and dim sims. The restaurant could do with an update as it seems a little dated, but it seems like the dishes speak for themselves. The place is always busy. We will return."
