"An authentic family-run restaurant with lovely food. We ate there on our way to the airport after working up a healthy appetite with a walk around Sao Lourenco.We arrived for a very late lunch so there was no problem getting a table. However we were disappointed to find they had sold out of the house special octopus! (The people on the next table did get it and it looked delicious.) We settled for limpets to start, then spada and espetada. These were served with gorgeous hand-cut fries (flavoured with garlic and oregano) and a generous salad. The meat was cooked in their traditional wood-burning oven which we had a good view of from our seats.Good English was spoken by the friendly owner's son and we felt a bit guilty for delaying the family's own meal.Our meal cost 28Euros with a drink each which we thought was good value for the generous amount of lovely food we were served."
