"They started us off with an amouse bouche called Berliner Ball, a light fluffy cake ball filled with creamy cheese, accompanied by a very thin slice of local cured ham an homage to the German pastry of the same name. Then a tiny shrimp ravioli with sugary foam. Finally a small ball of smoked meat, chestnuts and almonds. For appetizer Cavaca e Aipo slipper lobster with slivered chestnuts and celery. Linda's entree' was Vaca Balata e coguhelas de temporad medum rare tournedos of beef with poyaro and seasonal mushrooms. My main was Javali Escorcioneira Feijao Pago de Rola wild boar with black salsify and beans in a spicy sauce. Linda's dessert was pumpkin creme brulee with gelato. Mine was a selection of local sheep's milk and cow's milk artisanal cheeses. All accompanied by Valle Pradinhos Grande Riserva 2015 from Mocedo de Calaveiros region of Tras os Montes: 85% cabernet sauvignon and 15% Touriga Nacional. Intense red color with violet highlights and very long legs, nose of complex red and black fruits, notes of stone, coffee and dark chocolate, vanilla, thyme and sharp black pepper spices. Flavor full bodied, balanced acidity and fine soft tannins well wrapped by the fruit, and a lasting, broad and greedy finish. There was nothing left to do after dinner but return to our room and edit the day's photos, and retire for the evening. The service was perfectly attentive and unobtrusive. The maitre d' generously sent the remains of the cheese board and wine to our room."

"I found this place because it's attached to the hotel I stayed in (Hotel Tulipa, which is awesome by the way). The first time I went in there I was greeted by a very nice girl who became my friend over the few days I was in Braganca. Turns out I would eat every meal here for a few days (except when it was closed on Sunday) because it's that good. I had an appetizer, pizza, small bottle of local wine and desert and it was easily one of the best meals I've ever had (very reasonable too approximately 15euros. Big, tasty pizza at a great price and you can watch the man toss the dough and make it if you sit close enough. He's full of laughs and smiles as he makes the pizza. Pasta dishes are plentiful and tasty. Many different pizzas to choose from. Also, several desserts. It gets very busy around the lunch hour so get there a bit early. A must eat in Braganca! Enjoy!"

"While on a Blue Strada Motorcycle Tour, we stayed one nite in Braganca. The restaurant surprised us with such a fabulous 5 course dinner that was beautiful and so tasty. My colleague and tour guide, Tiago Lopes knew this place well, and that's how we ended up there. Very unsuspecting from the outside. Combined with our stay at Pousada Hotel.. Fabulous City! The food Service at Geadas was most memorable in 9 days out."

"We wanted something else than a „typical Portuguese cuisine“ after few weeks so we went for this pizzeria in the neighborhood. It is simple restaurant, interior not very nice and welcoming. The pizzas were just ok, nothing special. The best was probably the staff. Although they spoke only Portuguese and we just failed to understand most of what they said, they just kept trying  The chef came to ask if everything is to our liking, waitress did her best to explain the wine list and dessert menu. On top of that, I accidentally knocked the glass off the table, so the shards went across half of the floor, yet they kept the smile, waved the hand that nothing happened….very friendly. Overall – cheap place, good food. Nice for a change, probably not for a frequent visit."
