"Small Korean restaurant, shabby furniture (which is fine if the food is good). The Korean pancake was burned, the fried chicken was nice and the dipping sauce was delicious. Bibimbab was adequate, had better in the city. Waitress and chef amused themselves talking very loudly...... which I found rude and annoying. Won't go back."

"Happy, smiling Thai service as you would expect. We had a lunch special for just $9.50. Great flavours enjoyed by all but a bit heavy on the rice/meat ratio in our selection of curries. Right beside the magnificent Orpheum movie theatre so great way is...to watch a movie then have a bite to eat. It is not luxurious in decor but has the full range of traditional Thai dishes if you wish to pay a bit more. Liked the soft shell crab and duck curry on the menu $19). Will try next time. The restaurant has a new name so not sure if new owners.Takeaway available- home and pickup."

"Pizzas are think and very tasty. Lots of great combinations. We had the seafood pizza and the meat lovers pizza as well as garlic bread. All good. Grab a drink at one of the local bars while they're cooking."

"Modern European/Australian cafe-bistro-restaurant. Smart decor with a large covered outside dining area. Extensive and innovative menu, all day breakfast, lunch and dinner with daily specials board. Licensed (good wine list) and BYO. Prices are reasonable and the value is very good. The food is all freshly cooked and nicely presented. The Lamb Wellington and the Seafood Pie are excellent as are the pizzas and pasta dishes. Great salads and lovely desserts. The owner Michael knows how to look after his customers, with attentive staff who actually keep an eye on the tables and the service is prompt, professional and friendly. It's a local favourite for us and a great place to go pre or post catching a film at the nearby Cremorne Orpheum. One of the best restaurants in the area."

"Ate there in a party of 5 people - took the Thursday night tasting plate menu at $39 per head. Good value and the highlights being the beef (which we upgraded with great chips) and the chocolate dessert.Took our wine and paid $10 per bottle surcharge.The front bar looks really nice and suited to couples while the backroom is more suited to groups.We would all go back to The Barrel - a really nice night out."
