"Cuy is served on special occasion, and after 6 weeks in Peru, it was time for Cuy. Opted for deep fried. The cook and the service was terrific. The setting, very relaxing. And the cuy itself was actually not bad. The legs tasted like chicken. I couldn't quite get into to the herbal gamey flavor once I started eating the body. But I can see why some people love the dish. The side salad was topped with a beautifully crafted avocado, looking like a rose. And the herbal tea was a nice mix actually with the cuy. Highly recommended."

"We thought making a trip to an Oriteal Express hotel would be one of finer dining moments in Peru but we were extremly disappointed. Bland tasting food that was simply overpriced however great wait staff but I would advise anyone who is not staying there to go somewhere else. Fortunately, it was a beautiful hotel with the restaurant sitting and overlooking a courtyard however the food could not redeem it."

"We ate here on 3 occasions in 5 days which says a lot, the food is boss and despite not being a huge menu was sufficient for us to try different dishes each time. It is small, nothing fancy in decor and a music video tv is on the whole time, but the od, ambience, value and service combine to deserve high fives all round. Special mention to the service, not sure whether the main lady in charge and serving us each night was an employee, manager or owner, but her whole demeanour was fantastic genuine and warm."

"A comfortable space near the historic district this younger brother of the more famous Cicciolina is nonetheless a great place for a nice break from standard Peruvian fare. The classics are there but so are some great BBQ items that should not be missed. I...especially liked the meaty ribs which were listed on the shareable items- note: Do Not share them! Keep them all to yourself! You’ll thank me later."

"Quespi provided a sophisticated interpretation of Peruvian, and especially Inkan cuisine, in an elegant but unimposing setting in a convent converted from an Inca temple. The restaurant setting adjoins a massive Incan wall and overlooks the convent courtyard. Our waiter, Jesus (two days before Christmas) was charming and attentive contributing to the experience. Stop in the bar before dinner for schooling and a tasting of piscina varieties."
