"We stood almost 10 min waiting to be seated while a waitress looked and walked by us 3 times.When finally we were,the food took FOR AGES to come out ( heaven help them if they were real busy ) and the food was luke warm. This is a racetrack/casino setting so they need to step it up. We won"t go back."

"Lunch recently Just wanted to say arrived with my Mom for a later lunch approx one ... Just a few tables occupied . Friendly greeting and drinkOrder taken ... 20 min later no beverages yet ... Ordered Cobb salad and given seafood Cobb salad instead .. which was fresh and quite good ! noted lower patio had strewn umbrellas on ground and appeared very unkept and took away from the pretty river view ... also noted step out to deck was loose and overall poor first impression on coming into restaurant ... such a change from previous visit .a few years ago ...."

"We started off with being told it would take up to 45 minutes to make the crepes as the kitchen was behind due to the number of customers. We decided that would be no problem as you can use up the time talking. More than an hour later I noticed what would end up being our crepes had been left on tne griddles, not a good idea with delicate crepes. About 5 minutes later toppings were put on the crepes and then they were allowed to sit another 5 minutes. The cook attempted to fold the crepes but they were so browned and dried out that they couldn't be folded. The cook then slid the toppings onto fresh crepes and put on new sauces. He then stood there and munched on one of the dried out crepes. We continued to wait and found that patrons who'd come in more than a half hour later than us were served their dessert crepes. At that point I complained. I was told that there'd been some kind of mix up with the orders and our food was ready. The re-made crepes were brought out to us about 1 minute later. The flavour was okay, though DH's Chef's Special crepe had no spinach in it (they were out of spinach) and nothing had been substituted, so his crepe wasn't a full meal."

"I had the same experience as the person below in terms of being very poorly received at the door. Yes, I do understand that if one doesn't have a reservation, one might not be accommodated. That is fine. What the issue was today is the way in which we were made to feel for having the temerity to come in without a reservation. There was a distinct lack of graciousness in our exchange. Smugness is never attractive. As the reviewer below says, come winter when they are depending on locals to fill the seats, they just may find they remain empty. People will always remember how you made them feel and certainly take this into consideration when deciding where to spend their money. I will say, I have taken tea there previously and the food was wonderful and I'm sure if you have a reservation, you will be wonderfully greeted and will have a good experience. Just don't bother if you've not got a reservation. And again, it isn't that we could not be seated, it is the manner in which we were told that I take issue with."
